JiP Posted February 18, 2009 Report Posted February 18, 2009 Andrew, I was just talking about that topic today with the boss. We are quite lucky to be able to keep working when it rains. The water may pool up inside in some places but still dry. Quote

The condenser in an AU is mounted in front of the radiator. You're probably thinking heater core :bash: Quote
JiP Posted February 18, 2009 Report Posted February 18, 2009 Trav that's nothing. 62% of Queensland has been flooded for 6 weeks now. 3 months on after the storm that ripped apart a part of Brisbane and only a few places have been repaired. Most are still under tarps. I really don't like banks right now. If they could invent any more charges they will. I think soon we will be charged just to use atm's and then they'll charge us to use internet banking. Then there is how their CEO's keep upping their pays, yet sacking staff. Suncorp's shareholders recently sacked their CEO as they didn't like where he was taking the company. The banks are also stricter to lend money but want people to apply for loans so they can rake in the application fees, tho I doubt they hand out many loans. The big boss expects work to dry up in a couple months because of the banks not lending money (Being stricter). Joys. I can't wait till I get my $900 Quote
trav_555 Posted February 18, 2009 Report Posted February 18, 2009 shit aye, don't watch the news that much so didnt know yea my job might not exist unless my work gets some more work in, I'm with a credit union there alright, i also want my 900 is going to get me a bigport jdm 4age package, when do we get it do you know? orangeLJ Posted February 18, 2009 Report Posted February 18, 2009 The commonwealth bank is giving me the shits right now. Parents are applying for a business loan to buy a franchise. I wrote a 50 page business plan, financial figures etc etc. Our business accountant went through it, told us he wouldnt have been so detailed and it was the best self (client) written one he had ever seen. They are buying an existing franchise so there is tonnes of financial data to prove its profitable, plus the fact the work comes direct from a multinational whitegoods supplier so it is never going to dry up. they didnt have enough equity in their house to put it as collateral, so my old mans, mum put her house down as collateral. so thats $300k as a back up on a 100k loan! But they are still f@$king them around, they want to see 10k in the bank account (which we listed when we thought we would have sold our family business) they want pay statements from my mum and Rays business statements... what a crock of shit. JiP Posted February 18, 2009 Report Posted February 18, 2009 Don't blame me, blame the banks. They are the reason we are going into recession. And is the government doing anything about it? No, they are letting them charge more fees. When i first got my credit card it was 13%, interest rates went up so the cards rates went to 20%. But with all the rate drops we've had do you think the cards rate has gone down? NO! They are not as bad as GE but its a rip off and i'm not paying anymore. Quote
Felix Posted February 18, 2009 Report Posted February 18, 2009 Quote blame the banks. LOL. Makes me laugh, people who whinge about credit card rates. That's the price you pay for instant gratification. It is simple, only buy what you can afford. If you can't afford it, save until you can. Get a visa debit card and spend your own funds that you have already earnt. Quote
Lexxi[ke35] Posted February 19, 2009 Report Posted February 19, 2009 WGMG: Planning all week for Eddy to come into town and visit me in my 5 hour free, texting him this morning and telling him I have a bit of homework to do (about an hours worth), him going off at me and getting in this huge fight at 6 oclock in the morning and now he's not coming at all. THEN getting a psych draft back marked 10/20 coz I pretty much could not be bothered at all and having to start it all over again, as well as write a 1000 report on the differences between news reports and editorials and dioing about 50 pages of questions for psych revision and 20 for maths revision and just not feeling any kind of motivation at all. REALLY really tempted to just drop out, but I can't :D Quote
