Toy-Yoda[RL] Posted June 11, 2009 Report Posted June 11, 2009 Love is a good tune on the player, an empty road in the hills and a full tank of fuel. :y: Quote

parrot Posted June 12, 2009 Report Posted June 12, 2009 How so? Thats what ive been told. Care to elaborate? Travis. Sorry Trav, not having a go at you. This topic really 'grinds my gears' You may recall this thread. What your mechanic tells you is not necessarily true. Only the standards division of your state road traffic authority - in writing! trav_555 Posted June 12, 2009 Report Posted June 12, 2009 Yes but is it like that for NSW? Its all good man, i really just don't see why its illegal..... Travis. Quote
Evan G Posted June 12, 2009 Report Posted June 12, 2009 when people stay 15 meters back from the car infront in traffic :y: I'm on my L's and that gives me the shits Quote
love ke70 Posted June 12, 2009 Report Posted June 12, 2009 i don't see why cocaine is illegal, but it is, so deal with it and work out your problems if you really wanna know, contact the RTA in writing and get a written response Quote
trav_555 Posted June 12, 2009 Report Posted June 12, 2009 When peple overtake you then cut in fornt of you hen the get 30cm in front of you and do it for no possible reason at all!! Travis. Quote
parrot Posted June 12, 2009 Report Posted June 12, 2009 I promise not to block up a general thread with anymore "car talk", it's illegal because the car doesn't comply with the ADR's thus requires engineering to certify the car is safe. Quote
towe001 Posted June 13, 2009 Report Posted June 13, 2009 Don't people know what a search function is ?? Google is your friend so phuckin use it Quote
Lexxi[ke35] Posted June 18, 2009 Report Posted June 18, 2009 Apparently they're changing the speed limits on ALL the 100km/h roads in the Barossa to 80 coz of the 3 crashes there recently. That makes me angry. Clearly if people were speeding in a 100 zone, they're not gonna slow down when it changes to 80. Quote
trav_555 Posted June 19, 2009 Report Posted June 19, 2009 They should chuck in a few speed cameras, usually that stops the majority speeding, I think speed cameras are a good traffic speed control system, people always slow down if they know theres a camera ahead. Travis. Quote
orangeLJ Posted June 19, 2009 Report Posted June 19, 2009 Then speed up straight away afterwoods..... speed cameras DO NOTHING but slow people down for 100 metres. If they really wanted to control speeding they would have frequent police patrols and roadside radar setups. If you don't know where it is, then you are more likely to slow down. Quote
benzo Posted June 19, 2009 Report Posted June 19, 2009 They should chuck in a few speed cameras, usually that stops the majority speeding, I think speed cameras are a good traffic speed control system, people always slow down if they know theres a camera ahead. Travis. As orangeLJ said they then speed up straight after the speed camera. People here in Adelaide tend to drive at least 70km/h on most 60km/h roads, then you clearly see the front of the car nose dive once a speed camera is visible. I am fed up with this attitude that lowering speed limits will reduce the road toll. If people are going to go 150km/h in a 100km/h zone, for what reason will they not do the same thing in a 60/70/80 zone. With a lot of these roads that have copped lower speed limits you find yourself constantly watching the speedo more than the road to make sure you aren't creeping over the speed limit. How the f@$k is that going to save people?! That's my rant Cheers, Ben. Quote
Tume Posted June 19, 2009 Report Posted June 19, 2009 What lexxi hasn't mentioned is that the road that 2 deaths was on (the public ones that aired on Today tonight etc.) isn't changed at all. Its still 100, as its a state government road. It was mentioned on the news yesterday due to a Facebook group complaining. Quote
