Why, Thank you Teddy

I believe I,m honoured to see that I have made a valuable contribution to the corolla community with my varied, albeit inconsistent , input.

All this being said as I suck down another mid.

Peter, it's because of people like you and Fook, that I've had to go out and buy a faster car. Bring it on!!

lol

and its people like you Mr Dixon that make the competition just fall apart at the seams - what ever car you are in! watching you is like watching the AI on a computer game, pfft, if there was a mistake, it must of been planed :P !

10 years expirence is something you can't purchase at repco, ebay or the local subwoffa fully 5ick shop (well, last time i checked anyway)

my 2 cents :) !

Fook, it takes twelve months to learn a new car. I believe I won't really do justice to the blue car until at least that period of time has elapsed. Until then: car time, car time, car time...... no substitute for time behind the wheel. Each car requires different skills.... as you're currently finding out. The first priority is and should always be, to have fun. Isn't that right Mel? :P

Teddy, I blush, but there's much better around than me, I assure you.

Yeah, when I sold my Honda Civic to get into RWD Datsun 1600 (Dino), I thought it would take a couple of motorkhanas to figure it out. *pppfftt* as if, how WRONG was I?! :D

It took a LOT longer than that to get used to it - like a year and some more to become competitive. I'm going to take the Redatto in the motorkhana on Sunday and trust me, I'm going to be no good at it!! But, yes Mr Redwarf, it has taken me a LONG time to not take every single event seriously.

At least I can laugh about it now, I think that the Broadwater carpark motorkhana was the first time I completely sucked and laughed about it!! I just enjoy doing skids now. They used to call it the "Mel Face of Death" :jason: - I used to get so cross at myself about mistakes or going slow, but no more ... I think I kind of expect it, and if I do well then I am pleasantly surprised!! :P

:) Tangent - Fook, a guy from the Gold Coast club sent me a clipping from their local newspaper about the motorkhana and a pic of me driving Redwarf was up top. Only 3 other pics were featured - one of Gazza, Keith (I think) and ....YOU!! I'll bring a copy for you on Sunday if the car is together enough to go.
