Keep_on_rolla'in Posted July 28, 2007 Report Posted July 28, 2007 hi, I am just wondering if anyone can leed me in the right direction, my ke55 coupe currently has TA22 celica front struts in it but i just wanted to no if there are any ajustable coilovers that will fit in without too much hassel. thanks, Ben. :y: Quote
Redwarf Posted July 28, 2007 Report Posted July 28, 2007 (edited) You can easily get yours converted. You can either buy a kit and do it yourself, or pay someone to do it. Alternatively, why don't you just get the right height springs? Or do you just want to brag to your mates that you have "coil-overs"? Edited July 28, 2007 by Redwarf Quote
NickZ Posted July 28, 2007 Report Posted July 28, 2007 But the other reason to having coil overs is so you can have adjustable camber tops like me. Also the TA/RA springs are a larger diameter and there is less tower clearence Quote
anastasios Posted July 28, 2007 Report Posted July 28, 2007 i have them and am using ae86 coilovers with ke55 standard strut tops japspec yo Quote
pozman Posted July 28, 2007 Report Posted July 28, 2007 pedders do a really fair kit, cost me $500 to get mine done, there very good, this was special price but gave me everything. springs collars and all ready to bolt in watch out for pedders though, some places are really good, some aren't Quote

I actualy realy need bigger brakes, but i though why not get some coilovers also so i can go lower, stiffer and hav a bit of camber aswell. Quote
anastasios Posted July 29, 2007 Report Posted July 29, 2007 coilovers don't always give you camber adjustment, what motor are you putting in, will give you an idea of the braking package therefore what coilovers u need adam makes up one awsome s13 strut talk to him Quote

Des Posted July 29, 2007 Report Posted July 29, 2007 (edited) You don't need Adjustable coilovers just because you have a bit more power than a stock engine. People run unmodified struts with just upgraded inserts and springs and they perform just as well as adjustable struts in 99% of people's road car's. Waste of money in my opinion unless its a track car or you know how to set them up properly. Edited July 29, 2007 by AE70 Quote
