Kebin[RL] Posted July 27, 2007 Report Posted July 27, 2007 (edited) Well since i have some spare time i thought i would make thread for at least one of my cars and my daily being the one i don't have to go into much detail with :y: Anyway i managed to pick up my 1984 AE71 Corolla in November 2006.. I found it on eBay with the seller advertising it as a 4age motor for sale. I contacted the seller for more info. After all questions were answered i came to the conclusion that the item for sale was infact an AE71 with a JDM Bigport 4age engine in it which was just out of rego and required minor pink slip. I carefully watched the auction till the end where i eventually won! YAY!!! So my brother and i began the 12 hour round trip of driving halfway to Queensland and trailering the car back to sydney. Heres the car how we found it: On the trailer ready for the trip home: Since the car lived in the countryside it was filthy with caked dirt and dust. A good detailing and it came up like this: Edited September 25, 2008 by Kebin Quote
Kebin[RL] Posted July 27, 2007 Author Report Posted July 27, 2007 (edited) Among the first mods were do something about crappy 90's looking alloys which had great rubber but bugger all traction in the wet. Take one average looking ae71: And throw some D's on that bitch: Another great eBay find it was! I managed a complete set of 15" Watanbes measuring 7.5" wide at the front and 8.5" wide at the rears. The wheels actually came off a DR30 Skyline so the bald tread that was on there was stripped and replaced with some decent 195/50's Edited July 27, 2007 by Kebin Quote

Kebin[RL] Posted July 27, 2007 Author Report Posted July 27, 2007 Shortly after the dyno day i began to get sick of the fuel surge going around left handers caused by the crappy fuel pump setup. I redid the whole lot and fitted a surge tank with lo and high pressure pumps. The modified intank pick up with pre-pump attached: and the surge tank setup in the boot: Quote
LittleRedSpirit Posted July 27, 2007 Report Posted July 27, 2007 What ecu are you running, kebin? Looks like a fairly smooth tune by the dyno sheet. Quote
