Thought id give a little in site in to why Ive got a KE35.my 1st car was a very nice KE35 coupe moss green only a bit of rust was in the rear boot (wheel arch) as it was my 1st car i loved it so much. heres a pic of it and my wife about 7-8 years ago.. ended up a wright off (not my folt) ever since been looking for one good or bad, then along came this one from Newcastle.. KE35 coupe silver metalick (needs clear cote) things that i need to do.. Ive got to cut the rust out of the bonnet or get a new one (no luck so far). then see if i can fix the problem of the bonnet not laching over. then see if i can find any other problems and go for a blue slip. then put some clear on it. then later GZE time Quote

jader Posted November 11, 2009 Report Posted November 11, 2009 I was going to say that car looked a little familiar, nice work on the youtube vid, came across it the other day. I like what you've done with the grill, in the process of doing something similar with mine as it was missing some of its teeth. What did you use for the mesh part/ how did you put it together? Quote
puzzle man Posted November 12, 2009 Author Report Posted November 12, 2009 the grill is factory, people refer to it as the honeycomb grill and apparently it only come out on the 79 KE35 Quote
JiP Posted November 12, 2009 Report Posted November 12, 2009 (edited) Well that would be wrong. The grille is factory and it came out in the early KE35's.(1975-1977) There were NO KE35's in 1979 in Australia. And if there were they would have had a late KE3x grille. In late 1978 the KE35 was replaced with the KE55s. Stay tuned next week for another history lesson children. Edited November 12, 2009 by JiP Quote

Well that statement is wrong in its self.. I said apparently it only come out on the 79 KE35 If I had said it defiantly 100% only came out on the 79 KE35 then your right to say I'm wrong. Now There were NO KE35's in 1979 in Australia. Would you like a pic of my build plate? As this is a 1979 KE35. Thanks for playing, Craig Quote
