TY AE71 Posted July 22, 2007 Report Posted July 22, 2007 (edited) My AE71 This is my car, Just a typical AE71 with a thrashed 4AC, 5 Speed, Noisy Diff, 17" wheels etc. It needed more power so i took it to my mate Nick (NickZ) doesnt take him long for a engine change. Started saturday at 3:30 engine out in no time and new engine in by 5:15. Had it wired and firing by sunday afternoon. Just have to fit the EFI pump, radiator and weld the flange on the collector on the extractors that Nick made. 4AC to 4AGE Hmmmmm Nick Loves wiring. Edited July 22, 2007 by TY AE71 Quote

Taz_Rx Posted March 10, 2008 Report Posted March 10, 2008 Nice work guys! :y: Is that a TDO4? :KY: Sorta looks like one from the front, but they don't have square inlet flanges! Some sort of adapter!? Melting dizzy hey, :D that sounds familiar!! :) Quote
NickZ Posted March 11, 2008 Report Posted March 11, 2008 yep td04, triangle flange, pain in the ass i think, would have been better getting the correct turbo to fit in the first place. going to heat wrap the manifold but i don't think it will make a bigger enough difference. I have my microtech off my 20V sitting here so it maybe used with this and the coil packs to get us out of trouble. Quote
Medicine_Man Posted March 11, 2008 Report Posted March 11, 2008 Once NickZ has had his way with it it should be a weapon :jamie: Quote
NickZ Posted March 21, 2008 Report Posted March 21, 2008 Today was intercooler piping day, i spent about 4 hours doing pipe work. Should be finished tomorrow, then before we go for a drive we have to change the diff as last time it was driven the sun gears shattered. Quote
NickZ Posted March 22, 2008 Report Posted March 22, 2008 Piping finished, now the owner just has to cleant them up and paint. Quote
Josho Posted March 23, 2008 Report Posted March 23, 2008 Awesome work as usual Nick! Had it going yet? Go well? Quote
NickZ Posted March 23, 2008 Report Posted March 23, 2008 Havent driven it yet, i need to put in a new diff, thats next weekends job, then we will be able to test it out. Quote
