skd30 Posted March 9, 2010 Report Posted March 9, 2010 Mate just got a price one putting a w5x on a 4age cause he fu**ed his t50, bloke told him round 1500...but that was at a tranny mechanics so would be cheaper if you do it yourself. Then stick a 16v with forgies (toyota still sell stock gze pistons from what i hear) and boost in front of it and your off. Thats roughly what ill be doing when I'm out of uni and full time work again (Have money for it lol). Or just the good old stock 4age-t50 rig and keep your foot flat. or buy one done...almost always cheaper. just my thoughts. Quote
enroh Posted March 15, 2010 Report Posted March 15, 2010 Y not go the whole hog (...) and slap in a 1VZ-FE??? They're light and a powerful enough in a 70. Also brings the weight back behind the axle,... Would be expensive but would be a first, or just go the 3.8 commo. Quote
$lau$ Posted March 29, 2010 Report Posted March 29, 2010 Please just put in a 13T-U and supercharge it like i did below: transforming it into an out-of-factory unofficial 13T-UZ 5 psi on the stock engine, handling pretty well!! trust me, you won't spend more than $1200 US and you'll be doing some fast numbers Quote

Or are you putting it up there purely for the consideration that it's a cheap engine with better power than the stock 4k? :D Quote
Jason Posted March 31, 2010 Report Posted March 31, 2010 This is such a open ended question and will go unanswered. How much $$? How much skills? Quote
