Nice project mate..... looks like it will end up being a stinker when you get that motor going ! It should really haul some ass in that little chassis.

What turbo are you going to use to run the boost you want to run?

Thanks champ, it sure will haul ass when it's done.

I'm going with a GT30/76R (0.48 rear housing)....boost will be kept at around 15psi, untill i rebuild the motor to handle more...then the goal is around 28psi...

Beerhead, I'm not building a second motor yet :) ....i am using what's in there, for now!

in the future, when it comes to rebuilding for more power (and reliability at high boost) I may rebuild a second motor so as not to have the hassle of the car being out of action (without a motor).

THE BOTTOM LINE is that i'd rather wait for what i want, then settle for something that's NOT what i want or something that every other person THINKS i should be doing. A small turbo with small boost and "good enough" isn't what i want...

"Life's too short to be small" - Max's protein shake slogan.

Thanks to everyone for their support, this is my last post untill the car is running.

I expect it to be running by april.

What a learning experience it is to build a car for the first time....hehe

just looking back at this thread and how optimistic (or naive) I was at the beginning.

Been on hold for quite a while now, with nothing happening to it besides me collecting parts (fuel & cooling systems, 6boost manifold, etc)

ATM waiting to get the car back rolling from the workshop it's at (motor/box/diff in), so I can start work on it myself with a Fabricator mate.

I won't be putting anymore timeframes on finishing it anymore....hehe learnt my lesson, as well as the fact I won't be doing anything by half measures...

In saying that, It should get finished much quicker in my hands.

Cheers,

Mark M

Great to hear !

Lol I know all about underestimating how long it all takes. One quote I saw on another forum was; "I love deadlines, I love the whooshing sound they make as they pass you by."

Take your time mate, definitley agree that it's worth being patient so the job is done right in the end.
