SIKE 70 Posted June 25, 2007 Report Posted June 25, 2007 I've found a turbo 5K without manifolds. It's going for $200. It sounds like a bargain, but I'm not to sharp on prices and stuff like that to do with turbos. What's the verdict? Quote
Taz_Rx Posted June 25, 2007 Report Posted June 25, 2007 Nothing really makes that block "turbo"...and it was over priced anyway!! :P Have a search around and have a look at mine and others cars. Quote

PMP020 Posted June 25, 2007 Report Posted June 25, 2007 the only thing that made that block turbo ready was it had been bored out 40" and had larger dished pictons to lower comp. but it wasnt worth $200, needed new pistons, rings and a rebore. i sold it for $120 if i recall correctly. cheers scott Quote
madrolla68 Posted June 25, 2007 Report Posted June 25, 2007 Alrighty will do guys. Any idea on prices to get a turbo engine? There is an old saying :P  HOW FAST DO YOU WANT TO SPEND :D That will determine how much it costs you,are you talking a K series engine Quote
Taz_Rx Posted June 26, 2007 Report Posted June 26, 2007 I'll build you a turbo 5k if you want!! what do you want...a motor for $1000!! or a fuel injected, t25 stainless mani wearing complete motor for about $2000...... or maybe you can just read the FAQ and other relevant info (all available here) and build your self a motor for under $500! and btw, the only real thing that make a k motor a "turbo motor" is the snail hanging off the side. :P Quote
SIKE 70 Posted June 26, 2007 Author Report Posted June 26, 2007 Thanks for all the feedback guys! I'll see how money goes but Taz your offer sounds very good. Once again, any feedback is appreciated. Quote
