towe001 Posted January 20, 2009 Report Posted January 20, 2009 not the thing you want to see residing in your engine bay. Phuckin hate those things Just about fumigated my '55 not long after i got it and i think it's still got a couple floating around in it Found one the other night outside where the kids play. Pretty thankful neither of them made that one wrong move in stepping one foot to the left Quote
JiP Posted January 20, 2009 Author Report Posted January 20, 2009 Meh, when ever I step into any of my cars they have spider webs. Quote
67Rolla-Ken Posted January 20, 2009 Report Posted January 20, 2009 Redbacks are close to harmless!! They rarely bite, and to most people they are no worse than an ant bite. As for their reputation of deadly, only if you had a reaction and did not seek medical attention for a month!! I read somewhere there has only been 2 deaths since an antivenom was developed in the 60's?! We have pet ones in every corner of our garden sheds in WA, you leave them alone, they leave you alone.
