rian Posted March 22, 2013 Report Posted March 22, 2013 (edited) I love seeing all the weird bikes in the parking lot at uni, I often see Z50s, cafe racers, postie bikes with engine swaps etc. I saw this at uni the other day: Honda Ruckus with some kind of engine swap and a huge driveline upgrade, the wheel on the back is 8" wide! Edit: I should add that the seat only came up to my knee... it's very low. Edited March 23, 2013 by rian Quote
7shades Posted March 22, 2013 Report Posted March 22, 2013 Can get those swingarm extension kits outta Japan. (of course) Pity they're only 50cc. Someone needs to start importing the BIG Ruckus. 250cc, they can actually keep up with traffic. Quote
It's_AUDM_Yo Posted March 23, 2013 Report Posted March 23, 2013 Ruckus's are ʞ©$ɟen sweet, there just too expensive for a scooter I reckon. Quote
7shades Posted March 23, 2013 Report Posted March 23, 2013 Shady rocks a 1986 Helix 250 import. Still the longest wheelbase of any production motorcycle, ever. Its like riding a couch. I love it. :) Quote
rian Posted March 23, 2013 Report Posted March 23, 2013 That's the ugliest thing I've ever seen. It's great. Quote
Toy-Yoda[RL] Posted March 23, 2013 Report Posted March 23, 2013 longest wheelbase of any production motorcycle, ever. 1,692 mm wheelbase In fairness, it is a 1800cc touring bike that weighs ~360kg's dry, so it's in a slightly different class, but, production motorcycle. Quote
nerfbat Posted March 24, 2013 Report Posted March 24, 2013 think this was in a target catalogue? Quote
7shades Posted March 24, 2013 Report Posted March 24, 2013 (edited) I can fix that... Edited March 24, 2013 by 7shades Quote
nerfbat Posted March 24, 2013 Report Posted March 24, 2013 i am really into these stretched Scootz..! thanks for showing me the Ruckus, too. am looking into one now Quote
7shades Posted March 24, 2013 Report Posted March 24, 2013 A cheaper alternative to the Ruckus is the ridiculously named Daelim B-Bone... I rode one, liked it a lot. Korean, but surprisingly good quality and being a 125cc it will actually keep up with traffic and make it over small hills without having to get off and push In case you haven't picked up on the subtlety I find 50cc scooters frustratingly slow and painful to ride Quote
towe001 Posted March 24, 2013 Report Posted March 24, 2013 How much would the rego be on one of them ? Registering the thing as a motorbike just doesn't seem right :/ Quote
nerfbat Posted March 24, 2013 Report Posted March 24, 2013 that looks pure sexy mate..! and Rob, I'd assume it would be scooter rego, which is cheaper.... Quote
