BlueKsev Posted October 6, 2012 Report Posted October 6, 2012 Its amazing how many parts between Toyota share the same design/ shape. Picked this up from a pile of parts for scrap metal today, apparently from a Cressida. 21mm Ke70 bar next to the 27mm Cressida bar. Now just to fit it :) shouldnt be hard, very similar shape. Quote
BlueKsev Posted October 6, 2012 Report Posted October 6, 2012 Fits sweet! Got it all bolted up now. Other then the D bushes of course, which needed some dodging up to accommodate a chunky 27mm bar instead of the 21mm. And to think, companies sell the 24 and 25mm ones for $3XX. This should go down decent with the VR commodore swaybar i've already got in the back. Now just to stop messing around, get the 4age running and see how this feels! Its going to be very interesting to see how it drives hah Quote
ke70dave Posted October 6, 2012 Report Posted October 6, 2012 very nice find!!!! thats a damn cheap upgrade. Quote
BlueKsev Posted October 6, 2012 Report Posted October 6, 2012 I'm just waiting to hear back from the guy i grabbed it off as to what exact model its from. Anyway, il need to grab some new D brackets and bushes to suit i think, i tried dodging something up using the ke70 ones but 27mm is just that bit too big for it hah other then that its like it was made for it! frknstn Posted October 6, 2012 Report Posted October 6, 2012 Serial nine may have something to suit Quote
B.L.Z.BUB Posted October 6, 2012 Report Posted October 6, 2012 Hit up Ranko (AKA Andrew) he is a site sponsor and will take care of you. Sorted me out :y: http://www.rollaclub.com/board/topic/44557-suspension-parts/ Quote
BlueKsev Posted October 7, 2012 Report Posted October 7, 2012 Okay, just got told it was out of an MX73 cressida. Also, quick bit of research showed that every second new modernish large car has a 27mm front anti roll bar - falcons, commodores etc. So a quick trip to the wreckers, two new holes drilled and it will be all properly mounted. So yeah, if theres an mx73 in the wreckers near you its worth grabbing that anti roll bar! Quote
It's_AUDM_Yo Posted October 7, 2012 Report Posted October 7, 2012 WTF! Also check out the alternator bracket. Quote
rian Posted October 7, 2012 Report Posted October 7, 2012 lol, as long as it works. What kind of car is that anyway? No strut towers, must be old. Quote
It's_AUDM_Yo Posted October 7, 2012 Report Posted October 7, 2012 http://www.cardomain.com/ride/3162614/1973-toyota-corona The rest of the car is pretty nice, apart from his choice of wheels Quote
