Des Posted June 4, 2007 Author Report Posted June 4, 2007 (edited) well thats one advantage of old Toyota's over old Mazda's, they are notorious for rusting out the windscreen corners, but thats also probably due to the way they are attached with the chrome strips around them. :bash: Yeah my old Mazda was rusted hard core around the front and rear windscreens. The only rust in the shell is in the spare tire well, Some small holes in the roof but they are away from the gutters which is a bonus, and in the bottom of the rear quarters. EDIT: Also found a good re trimmer that does overrated work, Gonna go with the stock red colour. Edited June 4, 2007 by AE70 Quote
Trev Posted June 4, 2007 Report Posted June 4, 2007 (edited) I'm pretty sure RTA and shit doubles a rotary. Ie. a 13b, would be 2.6 litre I dunno how many times people say that, My mates 13BPP RX2 (factory 12A) is registered as 1.3L, The fire wall compliance plate even states the 12A as a 1.2L (597x2 or some shit) so what right do they have to say its a 2.0, 2.4 or 2.6, Will get pics of plate and rego papers if anyone wants to argue. Felix Posted June 4, 2007 Report Posted June 4, 2007 Rotary displacement explained here. :bash: Quote
Des Posted June 4, 2007 Author Report Posted June 4, 2007 Good, Now if its mentioned again I'm going to slap some one. Quote
Jono Posted June 4, 2007 Report Posted June 4, 2007 ...but from a government department just to back it up: http://www.rta.nsw.gov.au/registration/dow...s/vsi/vsi06.pdf see table halfway down the page. the displacement of a 13b is 1.3l (650cc x 2 rotors) but in terms of ENGINE CONVERSIONS they are counted as double. Des Posted June 4, 2007 Author Report Posted June 4, 2007 Only because you provided good info i wont slap you. :bash: But yeah thats f@$ked coz rx3's weigh f@$k all and can have a 13b turbo, All i want is a 10a or 12a if i went that way which i most likely wont. Quote
camerondownunder88 Posted June 4, 2007 Report Posted June 4, 2007 Id slap you Des if the KE10 got a rotor. Stick with a K motor but I support your 5K conversion :bash: Quote
Trev Posted June 4, 2007 Report Posted June 4, 2007 Maybe its if you stick a rotor in a not factory rotor car do the rules apply :bash: Quote
