mikeys toy[RL] Posted June 16, 2007 Report Posted June 16, 2007 WE didn't get the 4 door until '71 I don't think you need longer studs, just a standard shank 12mm 1.5 mag nut Quote
Des Posted June 16, 2007 Author Report Posted June 16, 2007 WE didn't get the 4 door until '71I don't think you need longer studs, just a standard shank 12mm 1.5 mag nut Dad reckons they will be fine as well so i will see how it goes. Should be getting the front end bits next weekend/23rd to be precise. I'm looking at buying a MIG welder as well, Any suggestions ? Des :) Quote
7shades Posted June 16, 2007 Report Posted June 16, 2007 Best one you can afford dude.... the cheap ones are really terrible... the wire gets stuck and the amperage is irregular and blah blah... get a gas mig if you have the cash they do a much better job. Quote
JiP Posted June 16, 2007 Report Posted June 16, 2007 (edited) Difference between a sedan and a coupe. The rear end of a coupe is more streamlined. For example. KE10 2 Door Sedan KE15 2 Door Coupe KE20 2 Door Sedan KE25 2 Door Coupe KE30 2 Door Sedan KE30 4 Door Sedan KE35 2 Door Hardtop Coupe Cause it would be silly for the KE20 & KE25 to be called coupes Edited June 16, 2007 by JiP_01 Quote

mikeys toy[RL] Posted June 16, 2007 Report Posted June 16, 2007 Flux core (Gasless) is no good for sheetmetal (I.E. rust epair on panels) Mine is a bitch and it's not clean. Fine for thicker guage stuff Quote
tenyearguarantee Posted June 16, 2007 Report Posted June 16, 2007 The sprinter is the coupe, Des's is a 2-door sedan. They also came out in 4-door sedan. That was overseas though. lol i guess thats being a bit pedantic though. if you want to see a example of the four door, check out my project post Quote
69sprinter Posted August 26, 2007 Report Posted August 26, 2007 Spent about an hour outside today. I need longer studs. 13" alloy jelly beans Will be running these for a while. Grille. 18 rims and tires, 14 of them fit my Corona :P Yup Inverted jellybeans = dish and loads of negative offset but not safe. I'm sure this isn't legal Hey Des how hard are those grills to find if I wanted one? I like the simplicity of it compared to the ke series grill Quote
JiP Posted August 26, 2007 Report Posted August 26, 2007 He found it only by luck. We were at a wrecker that had KE20 parts and asked if there was another wrecker near by that also stocked KE20 parts, They sent us to one up the highway. Once there he asked if the had a KE10 grille and BAM, he had one. Best bet now a days are car forums or chasing down the elderly as they drive around in their KE1X's. Quote
