G'day everyone,

I'm mucking around with the head on a 3K, can anyone tell me what the normal height from head gasket face to cam cover gasket face is? How much can these heads be shaved?? It's a later type head with the normal style valve retainers, and tiny 25mm intake ports!

Soon to change though ;)

Anyone know what the seat pressure of stock springs is?

Cheers

ive got a bigport head and it has aparently been plained down 80thou, will have to see how it goes on my 5k,

A head that gives 9:1CR on a 3k, would give around 11:1 on a flat top 5k. Even more if skimmed. :D

Thank you very much!!

That's brilliant, you have a factory manual?? Do you the head height limits??

Thank you again, that's great.
