55LDE Posted May 22, 2007 Report Posted May 22, 2007 Iv got a 1984 AE71 and i want to upgrade the steering wheel and iv found a 92-98 AE101 AE102 Toyota Corolla wheel and a Toyota Celica GT4 ST185 Steering Wheel and i was wondering if they will fit my car? Quote
flat out Posted May 22, 2007 Report Posted May 22, 2007 hi welcome to rollaclub! in my opinion your best bet would be to go to autobarn or a similar store and look in the boss kit book, if they run the same boss kit then the steering wheel spline will be the same, hope this helps, casey Quote
nickyboy Posted May 22, 2007 Report Posted May 22, 2007 i heard you can be defected for some steering wheels, is this true... and how would i know if I'm buying one that WONT be defected Quote
Taz_Rx Posted May 22, 2007 Report Posted May 22, 2007 best to check to rules and reg in your state. ;) Quote
Teddy Posted May 22, 2007 Report Posted May 22, 2007 Ive got an Mr2 Steering wheel which fits straight on, which I'm not using any more. Its pretty chunky, nice grip. You can have it for $40 if you like? Quote
Redwarf Posted May 22, 2007 Report Posted May 22, 2007 i heard you can be defected for some steering wheels, is this true... and how would i know if I'm buying one that WONT be defected General rule of thumb (and yes, check your local regulartory body), if the steering wheel came factory with a padded center, the replacement must be similar.
