Raven Posted May 11, 2007 Report Posted May 11, 2007 Kinda need one....as I'm finding it difficult to line up the gearbox with the spigot bearing.... Cheers Raven Quote
aidaniel[RL] Posted May 11, 2007 Report Posted May 11, 2007 is it a problem lining up the clucth plate? if so its just a matter of feeling it into the centre of the pressure plate by feeling all the way around it i can come round ova the weekend if ya need a hand Quote
7shades Posted May 11, 2007 Report Posted May 11, 2007 I did mine the other day and just used the shifter... threaded end is almost the same diameter as the spigot... shove it in there and wiggle it around til it looks right :y: Quote
Raven Posted May 11, 2007 Author Report Posted May 11, 2007 Line up the clutch and put a few drops of glue to hold it on to the flywheel First dump of the clutch, the glue will part :y: Haha, that sounds so dodgy. Shifter hey.... might give that whirl. Will have to get stuck into it on Monday seeing as though I have a cruise on tomorrow and I'm free for the rest of the week after midday on Monday :P Quote
aidaniel[RL] Posted May 11, 2007 Report Posted May 11, 2007 i like nicks idea ... but changing clutches is kinda my thing as i've been crewing in speedway for a couple of years and changing clutches is like a monthly job Quote
Jono Posted May 11, 2007 Report Posted May 11, 2007 i did mine by feeling around. haven't had any problems yet... Quote

Raven Posted May 12, 2007 Author Report Posted May 12, 2007 rofl. I bought myself a clutch aligning tool, cos no doubt I'm gonna be aligning a clutch on someone's car at some point. Cost me $18 so not complaining and does quite a few different sized pilot bearings. Quote
