demuire Posted August 11, 2004 Report Posted August 11, 2004 datgirl: What is this "navigators bag" you speak of? What's in the grandpa wagon? glovebox: I really have no idea backseat: 2 bottles of water and a bottle of coolant system sealant (yes, my engine is still leaking water everywhere), and a torchlight back (boot?): some rags, 2 x camping mat, 1 x Landcruiser caliper (spare for Hal, probably needs rebuild), spare wheel, jack + handle, fire extinguisher I'd like to get a box for the boot too to put misc stuff in, but never seem to get round to it. andrew Posted August 12, 2004 Report Posted August 12, 2004 Back seat:- backpack with spare clothes, shoes (eh, you never know) oh yeah i forgot about that, so do i Quote
99 Posted August 12, 2004 Report Posted August 12, 2004 Navigators bag: a black satchel with clipboard, pens, bulldog clips, Qld Challenge road book left over, a bit of Targa paperwork like scrutineers sheets (ahh the memories), digital watch, chewing gum, $10 in change blah etc yada. They're really handy and lots of navs have them. When navigating for Rob, I use his Redwarf Motorsport embroidered bag that I got him for Christmas last year. I always said it was like getting a present for myself - similar to when Homer bought Marge a bowling ball for her birthday with "Homer" engraved on it?! That was me (Homer) buying Rob (Marge) a bowling ball (nav bag)!! Quote

Super Jamie Posted August 12, 2004 Report Posted August 12, 2004 i got caught without a spare tyre jack once. luckily i was in the area, walked halfway home on a stinking hot day and got my gf at the time to pick me up. learnt my lesson good and proper Quote
demuire Posted August 12, 2004 Report Posted August 12, 2004 For a long time I had the jellybeans on Pinky (that used the "mag nuts with shaft and washer"), and I had a normal Corona XT130 mag as a spare (that used a different Toyota semi-tapered nut thing). Only a few months later did I realise this, so if I'd gotten a flat then, I wouldn't have had any nuts to bolt the spare wheel on! Quote
