Wow... what a completely lacklustre effort by Subaru... AGAIN... I mean is anyone really surprised with how unremarkable the new wrx is... Subaru's body styling has always been conservative to say the least, which is probably a good thing... lets try NOT to remember the mid-late 80's when some clown put LSD in the design studio's water cooler*... what happened? The SVX. eeeew.

* Purely speculative

But if we're being completely honest, lets look at the type of demographic who can afford a wrx brand new... Its NOT the 20-30 age group with a penchant for edgey futuristic designs. Its the slightly older mid-life-crisis accountant who wants a sports car but won't get an import cos his insurance won't cover it. (and he needs 4 doors to drop the kids off at soccer) Hence, it looks like a camry.

This is a good thing if you're buying one secondhand though, as the these type of people have less propensity to destroy the hopelessly fragile running gear.

the svx was funny as. the AWD system only worked when you had the windscreen wipers on. good thing they took that 'feature' out otherwise all us boxer boys would have worn out wiper motors. :kiwi:
