Carby Adjustments

Junior Speedway car. As I'm a total newbie to these cars I'll ask the dumb ? Cars fueling up at idle. Choofing black smoke out the exhaust. Also it's fueling up at when she's cornering (foot off) . Where do I start? Std carby type is all we're allowed to run. Jetting is free. Don't have time for a dyno run this week so I need to sort this before the weekend as she's (13 y/o) is racing again (keen).trikes

Is that it? What no one knows where to start with this carby? Hummm.....trikes out

Have you put carby cleaner through it?

 

No use tuning it if it aint clean.

Swap no. 2 & 3 plug leads. Hold foot flat and hit the starter. Backfires will clear out some of the shit. And by the way, remove aircleaner first :kiwi:

with out seeing the car running its a bit hard to guess what it wrong BUT here is a stab

 

i think your float level is a bit high

or if you have an electric pump the fuel pressure from the pump is excessive try a regulator between the pump and the carby holley do a good,cheap simple one
