jam94 Posted April 9, 2007 Report Posted April 9, 2007 Hi! I am Jam Samonte.. Thanks to the Rolla Moderators for accepting my membership and I'm proud to be ONE of the newest member of the ROLLA CLUB.. I am from the PHILIPPINES and I have this 1976 COROLLA 2dr U.S. Version which I have just restored after a year and 4 months! I bought the 1976 TE31 (U.S. Version of the KE3O at Clark Air Base, Angeles City the former U.S. Military Base) from a 64 year old man who lives in the City. The car was near to obselecence when I bought it (general body repair and re-painting needed was needed plus major items like the bumpers/ grilles were gone) but did'nt lose hope.. (Patience and a lot of work was all I need). Good thing about the car is that it has a great conditioned-powerfull 3T 1600CC ENGINE, cool aircon. Its interior were replaced to customized "all black and dark grey leather". This includes: the seats, ceiling, sidings and flooring dash and compartments. Electrical system was replace to new ones.. Missing items were taken from another KE30 which I salvaged totally to complete the TE31... I opted to RESTORE the CAR for the LOVE of the GAME.. aS THE SaYinG GoEs: "No GuTs, No gLoRy!".... Here's mY GrEaT TE31 COROLLA '76: ; [attach ment=13830:DSC00874.JPG] Until now my restorition is ongoing... I have no specific target date for the project but someday I'd like to JOIN A CAR SHOW and SHOW THIS MASTERPIECE.. Owners of this kind would please make some comments and inputs.. I also need a manual for this car. Anyone? Thanks and "Mabuhay! (Long live!)" - Jam Samonte Quote

mikeys toy[RL] Posted April 21, 2007 Report Posted April 21, 2007 Are they still making Worldstars on the old base? I used to be an engineer for World Transport Authority, and was there in 2/01. Quote

JiP Posted September 12, 2007 Report Posted September 12, 2007 WoW, looks good. Our rear end was different. Out tag lights were on the bumper and we didn't get those massively bulky rubber bits either. Our rear end. My interior, as requested. I kept it original. Tho have made some mods. To days was having pockets put on the seats. Engine, nothing special. Will be fitted with a 5K in a few weeks. Keep your pics coming. I'm liking what I'm seeing!! Quote
