coln72 Posted April 3, 2007 Author Report Posted April 3, 2007 Yeah, that would buy me a house, a bloody big shed and a heap of rolla's to fill it and still have change Quote
Jono Posted April 3, 2007 Report Posted April 3, 2007 and handling was an optional extra! hahahahahaha Quote
Des Posted April 3, 2007 Report Posted April 3, 2007 Not very many phase 3 gtho's are around so the price will just keep going up with the years, Only 3 phase 4's still driving around. Quote
Felix Posted April 3, 2007 Report Posted April 3, 2007 Amazing the price. I reckon there would be a lot of middle aged guys out there kicking themselves now. I knew one bloke who parked his up a tree back when he was young and stupid. Heaps must have been written off in motor racing in the old days when you drove your car to bathurst, raced, then drove it back home if it was still in one piece. Quote
kangaroosa Posted April 3, 2007 Report Posted April 3, 2007 I read about that in the Herald Sun Newspaper, a week or two ago. I have seen a few Sold at Shannons Auctions for between $100,000 - $200,000. My jaw dropped when i saw that price tag however. Quote
Hiro Protagonist Posted April 4, 2007 Report Posted April 4, 2007 Only 3 phase 4's still driving around. Considering there were only 4 ever made, and none were officially sold, thats not that surprising Quote
Des Posted April 4, 2007 Report Posted April 4, 2007 (edited) One was takin out by a commodore towing a caravan apparantly. :D Edited April 4, 2007 by AE70 Quote
sammo[RL] Posted April 5, 2007 Report Posted April 5, 2007 You guys are talking bout the phase 4, of which 4 were built. The record price was for a phase 3 which 300 were built, and about 120 are left! But still a huge price, for a piece of australian motoring history! :D Quote
coln72 Posted April 5, 2007 Author Report Posted April 5, 2007 Actually there are a gazillion around, only 120 of them are genuine :D Quote
TheNOBBLER[RL] Posted April 5, 2007 Report Posted April 5, 2007 Actually there are a gazillion around, only 120 of them are genuine :D Very well said Colin! Quote
