if there alloy don't blast em, it pits the alloy,

if its steal there fine, $100 it a rip off, i pay $10 a bike frame + forks + cranks

 

if there alloy get them acid dipped

$100 isn't much money at all for saving hours of work. i charge $65 per hour so its less than two hours work. i'm sure it would have taken me more than two hours to sort the rims out.

I'm guessing they are alloy. where would i get them acid dipped.

ive got 98% sulphuric acid at my work that would work??

no idea, theres a in tas called dip n strip, i think he uses some organic crap, got a bike frame done a year ago. bout $40 all i had to do was steel wool it ready for paint

have you tried just paint stripper from bunnings?

 

Make sure you wear gloves.

 

Also I'm not sure if it will eat the alloy, but i don't think so. Try it on a small area first. maybe on the inside of the wheel.
