99 Posted August 13, 2004 Report Posted August 13, 2004 Results are extremely provisional, apparently there are a select few that have them for the moment. They are being re-checked. This is only a 2nd hand rumour, but enough to publish!!! Quote
Redwarf Posted August 14, 2004 Author Report Posted August 14, 2004 In other results: Fook: 10th O/R 2nd in Class Mumblezz:16th O/R 5th in Class Datgirl just behind (damn that wrong direction!) 17th O/R 2nd in class... Good result had by all! Quote
demuire Posted August 14, 2004 Report Posted August 14, 2004 How is it that both me and Datgirl are 2nd in class? Weren't we in the same class? Or did they nudge me into C class because my car was too long (it was right on the limit of B/C class)? 10th O/R, that's pretty alright considering I recon I had a pretty crappy day... Thanks for the results! Quote
99 Posted August 14, 2004 Report Posted August 14, 2004 (edited) That's funny cos one of the scrutineers asked Rob about whether to put mumblezz sprinter into class B or C because it was right on the border of both. I don't know what they ended up doing for Paul, but I think we said to him to ask Keith what was usually done. What class is your car normally in Fook/mumblezz?? Redwarf is definitely always class B, so it sounds like Fook you would have been in class C? If you're right on the border, it would be to your advantage to be in class C. Re: pretty crappy day - I think everyone except Rob had a bad one. Ken Graham came second allegedly and he hit posts. Sounds like Rob was the only one not to hit posts or manage a WD. Usually the top 10 have a flawless day, so that gives you a bit of an indication. Fook, I would have been stoked to make the top 10, you get QMS points for that!! Congrats! ps. I am pretty keen on this dirt motorkhana on August 29th I keep hearing about but have absolutely no idea how to get supp regs or find out even where to start finding out that info. Who has supp regs? demuire Posted August 14, 2004 Report Posted August 14, 2004 Mel: I had a clean sheet day too, no WD's or posts. But then I did do quite a few 3-point turns because there were a few turns I couldn't make, and I definately wasn't the quickest around any of the tests. I'm usually in class B, but that's just cause we've always gone by the stock wheelbase of the car. Seems that with all the suspension modifications my wheelbase is now longer than standard... Quote
demuire Posted August 14, 2004 Report Posted August 14, 2004 (edited) Oh hey look, silly me - I have the sup regs. Coming up soon. *edit* don't know where to put them, so they're on my site for a little while: Entry form Sup regs Edited August 14, 2004 by demuire Quote
mumblezzz Posted August 16, 2004 Report Posted August 16, 2004 For those that are interested. Results Are these the latest results or have they been revised. Apparently I'm a corolla driver and even better, Fooks a sprinter driver! Whiskey Tango Foxtrot???? Quote
demuire Posted August 21, 2004 Report Posted August 21, 2004 Dammit, everyone disputing the results, looks like I no longer score any championship points :D Quote
demuire Posted August 24, 2004 Report Posted August 24, 2004 Final results are out: 1st: Craig Hornibrook (1 in class) 2nd: :D (1) 3rd: Ken Graham (1) 14th: Fook (4) 17th: Mumblezz (6) 18th: Melinda (2) Quote
99 Posted August 25, 2004 Report Posted August 25, 2004 Warning: I'm going to be controversial here!! Rob was ROBBED (pun intended) The change to the results was about a WD that was overturned and rightly so. However, there are more than 3 witnesses that saw the same person WD another test and the officials did not record it. Having an incorrect WD overturned knowing they WD'd another test is just plain bad sportmanship. At least we know that Rob was the real winner because bad sports don't count. That's my piece, nuff said Quote

demuire Posted August 25, 2004 Report Posted August 25, 2004 Mel: I agree. People were ringing up and complaining that they didn't remeber hitting any flags etc, and I recon there'd have to be at least one person who either didn't realise they hit a flag, or just wanted more championship points... But oh well... Quote
demuire Posted August 25, 2004 Report Posted August 25, 2004 Heh, well we watched the video tonight (ironically belonging to Craig himself), and yes we all saw that he did a WD... Quote
