What's the deal with running a 100kw ecu on your bigport? This has to be limiting alot of bottom end torque that the TVIS is meant to provide. Have you overcome this or do you run the TVIS constantly open?

thanks for all the nice comments,

I loved my red keto, it was a great car, not as well set up or built as this tan one due to time and money at the time, but i love my tan one also, we are still bonding more and more every day though.

Bigport is a jdm mr2 with rwd gear on it, runs 100kw ecu from the factory, no tvis.

besides, my ketos are rarely under 3500rpm.

its a pretty old vid, things have come a long way since then.

Will be at qr on saturday, if anyone here is there, feel free to come and say gday.

ps. keto = ke70 the 7 kinda looks like a t, and its easier to say keto that ke seventy, considering all i do is blabber on about my keto all day, time efficiency becomes an issue.

Going by the pics its just a Blue top series 1 bigport (3 rib) and the TVIS plate has been removed, The ecu would be the JDM 95kw (which don't relate to our conditions), The 7 rib bigport was also AFM whereas yours is map, Unless you have changed the cam covers and got a map ecu, Either someone has played around with the engine or whoever you got it off is full of it.

I will be out at willowbank on saturday so i might pop over to QR and have a look, That was a nice drift in that turn.

thats for the great pics, was awesome fun, just wish i packed some more rubber, my Marie biscuits popped on turn 6, i think they just got too hot for the pressure that was inside them (50 pound) but i got a decent amount of laps out of them, look very forward to going again and was great to meet des and trev, thanks for coming out.

Had the privilege of seeing this thing in the flesh on the weekend, what a little pig. Probably some of the best looking 1980's paint left on a car. Will be pretty crazy when you get a sweet tune on it, its another bigport that will eat 20V's and GZE's for lunch. Still kicking myself I didn't get a bigport and be happy with it. Keep us posted on the engine mods, gotta love an evil atmo 16V :o
