blonka Posted March 7, 2007 Report Posted March 7, 2007 hey, ive recently put a 4age with a t50 box in2 my ke35, and ive run in2 a issue with the mastercylinder/clutch pedal i don't know how to get the clutch pedal to pick up the mastercylinder. how have people done this before on there ke3#? mounting, changing pedal etc pics would be a great help, thanks Quote
oh what a nissan feeling! Posted March 7, 2007 Report Posted March 7, 2007 Ive done it, got no pics but. You need move the pivot point. Do a bit of calculations to work out how to get the travel you need. I could probably jump under the dash and do a bit of quick measuring. you need a welder of course. I used a ta22 master cyl,. c budge Posted March 7, 2007 Report Posted March 7, 2007 put it where the speed cable gose and just make up a a peace to go to the peadle Quote
blonka Posted March 7, 2007 Author Report Posted March 7, 2007 the speedo cable idea wont work because the speedo cable is on the wrong side if the brakes to change the pivout point do i prety much have 2 make my own pedal box? Quote
Clapped out Posted March 7, 2007 Report Posted March 7, 2007 ive done it before, exactly the way "oh what a nissan" :hmm: did, its a little stuffing around but once its done, its done. :P Quote
blonka Posted March 7, 2007 Author Report Posted March 7, 2007 just checking did you mount the master cylinder where the cable used to come out? Quote
thomo Posted March 7, 2007 Report Posted March 7, 2007 just did one to, the standard pedal box in tne 30/55 has a hole cut in it with bolts top and bottom (they are to short but in the right spots) i just drilled a hole in the firewall, extended those 2 bolts, and stuffed an ae71 clutch master cyl in there, then (after 30 seconds with a tape measure) welded a bracket on the standard 30/55 pedal box to take an ae71 cluch pedal, just lined up the pin for the master cyl with the hole on the face of the pedal box, the measuring part told me how far back towards the firewall to set it stuffed if i know how the speedo cable hole thing works Quote
doityourself Posted March 7, 2007 Report Posted March 7, 2007 When I did this a long time ago, I just bolted in a TA22 pedal, and extended the pin by welding a few nuts together and a bolt head to the nuts. Also I think I may have redrilled the pivot point too. Quote
doityourself Posted March 7, 2007 Report Posted March 7, 2007 Ohh just remembered that my mechanic said when he did a 2t conversion for a customers KE30 2 door, he used the whole TA22 pedal box assembly and it bolts straight in. Quote
pozman Posted March 8, 2007 Report Posted March 8, 2007 some of the 30/55 have the speedo cable come thru the fire wall where the master cylinder sits the hole is already there. the others have the speedo cable come thru in another spot so there is no hole for the clutch master with ravens one you would have to be careful that the throw of the pedal is to short, (i e the master clinder doesn't get pushed in anough) i made a plate to move the pushing point to where the spring hole is, so it makes the throw alot longer. blonka Posted March 8, 2007 Author Report Posted March 8, 2007 far out those photos were so helpful thanks heaps, just one question does the master cylinder go throught that hole to the left of ravens photos between the 2 bolts? Quote
doityourself Posted March 9, 2007 Report Posted March 9, 2007 In answer to you question blonka about raven's pedal assembly. Yes the master cylinder does go through the hole. Quote
