JiP Posted March 7, 2007 Report Posted March 7, 2007 I still think that's a HOT little car. Ever since i first laid eyes on it. I loves za ford. I'd buy it, if i had the dosh. Quote
Redwarf Posted March 7, 2007 Report Posted March 7, 2007 I'm telling you, in back to back testing, the MPS 3 is a better car........ :P Quote

Nitephyre Posted March 7, 2007 Report Posted March 7, 2007 Uh huh, I've heard great things about both the 3 and the Focus, now if only Econimos could be shafted somehow.... :P Quote
SoulSearcher Posted June 18, 2008 Author Report Posted June 18, 2008 guess what.... the new 2009 Focus has been unveiled... http://carsguide.news.com.au/site/motoring.../?from=CG_email I still like the outside (it's pretty!) ...but the inside (of the 2007/08 version) doesn't do it for me Lesley Quote
WinKE55 Posted June 18, 2008 Report Posted June 18, 2008 XR5 Turbos are fun to be in too. I am not much of a fan of FWD, though if it were RWD I would buy one. The newer XR5's (2008) Have a push start and a few interior differences too the older XR5's The engine is yes, a Volvo 5 cylinder as well. I work in Ford and work on a fair few of these. Though sadly, I can not drive them properly yet as I am on my L's Quote

My dads mate works at ford and was raving about these when they first came out. I have heard saab have a similar alliance with holden. I would buy one, but am put off by the same thing as winke...............its a FWD. Quote
WinKE55 Posted June 18, 2008 Report Posted June 18, 2008 (edited) Real cars lift the front wheels. They aren't driven by them. No offense to any FWD lovers. Edited June 18, 2008 by WinKE55 Quote
Rolliac Posted June 18, 2008 Report Posted June 18, 2008 I’m passionate about hating front wheel drive. What a stupid idea. Why would you? I crashed a front wheel drive car due to understeer. Sure I was young and speeding. But unless you really understand understeer I think there dangerous. Quote

Thats only because you don't know how a FWD handles. They handling vastly differs between a FWD and RWD. Take my Magna for example, V6 and 5 speed. It torque steers if you don't ease on the power, it does lift-off oversteer if you take your foot off the accelerator while cornering. It just depends what you're brought up with. I would rather drive my rattly KE25 than my Magna, until summer comes around :lolcry: Quote
dfunkt Posted June 18, 2008 Report Posted June 18, 2008 once summer hits, you'll be taking the current yellow one out with no panels or windows so you don't need A/C :lolcry: Quote
