Steering Arms

I was talking with justin the other day and he meantion some one saying about another car having shorter steering arms that you can use? Is this true? Also are XT130 arms the same as ae86 (i know there not the same are ae71's)

 

Also wondering if any bodys knows where that webpage is of shitloads of suspention parts and dimentions. Had it in my favuoites for a wile?

corona and ae86 arms share the same stud spacing for the strut as I have AE86 coilovers on corona steering arms on my coupe. Not sure about the length, but I'm gonna measure a pair of RA40 P/S arms for length next time I'm at the wreckers with this new info .... mmmm lock :)

Another thing to consider is that even if the bolt spacing is the same, the offset of the ball joint may be different.

 

For example, I have corona struts on my KE25, which are the same bolt spacing as the AE86. So I tried on the AE86 steering arms, and they wouldn't fit. Because the LCA was touching the discs.

Sure, you could tap the lip on the LCA, but not advised, obvioulsly weakens it a bit. Off centre Roll Centre Adjusters may be the answer, but that changes things like camber and track too.
