Hi.

Not really computer literate, but finally got some pics of my car.

I drove it up and down my deadend road, a bit of fun!

 

Driveline

has a Gen 2 3sge from a MR2 SW20.

w58 gearbox

shortened tailshaft (corona-)

RA23 t series diff, standard celica (yet do LSD).

 

 

Suspension / brakes

Coilovers front, revalved Koni's

ST141 stuts, pueguot discs, hilux calipers

extra leaf in rear, koni reds

Hilux master cylinder, remote booster.

 

a heap of custom bits for this conversion.

 

Thanks to a couple of mates for helping with all this stuff (jonny rochester and aaron martin)

Interesting. I've seen it done and fitted to a KE25 race-car without any firewall mods and the car was very successful.

 

Thats why I asked :)

I probably just could have done the motor in it without the firewall mods, but then the pickup in the dizzy would have to be moved (possible to front of cam, or crank angle senor. But the wieght further back looked good to me.

Looks really well done, is this going to be a streeter?

 

 

It'll be my car to get to work in.

I'll try it around the track, but that's not it's main purpose.

I have done alot of work on this car. Nearly finnished, only a few more years to go now...

 

If has a Wolf 3D v3 and I have tuned it with the hand controler so it idles and can be driven up the driveway. Once Rob gets the doors on and some rego we can take it on the road and complete the tune.

 

Suspension is sort of done, won't know for sure till be drive it. Need to change steering knuckles still. Also we will put flares on the wheel arches as the current tyres would hit at the rear as you can see, without alot of flaring.

Front springs are King 65mm ID coilover springs. Rate is roughly 325lb/in. Struts are XT130 Corona shortened a bit with Koni inserts to suit SV21. Sigma lower control arms. Plus Noltech adjustable strut tops.

 

Rear suspesnion is a extra leaf, leaves reset a bit. And big lowering blocks. ... I think.
