Jono Posted January 31, 2007 Report Posted January 31, 2007 hi, my motor suddenly developed a noise. It seems to be coming from the valve gear. it starts to rattle around 3500rpm. Could it be the valves need clearance checked? Any ideas?? last time it happened I topped up the oil and it went away but not this time. cheers, Jon Quote
Trev Posted January 31, 2007 Report Posted January 31, 2007 Just double check the timing belt adjuster, Mine is a bit loose so it makes a noise and vibrates. Quote
Jono Posted January 31, 2007 Author Report Posted January 31, 2007 thanks, i will check that. it sounds like a ticking/rattling/worn bearing coming more from the rear of the head. Quote
