anastasios Posted January 23, 2007 Report Posted January 23, 2007 tuff for what kind of motor sport? coupe do you mean 2 door? Quote
78_7kRolla Posted January 23, 2007 Report Posted January 23, 2007 There is no such thing as a cheap engine conversion. Anybody will tell you that, but for a cheaper option, you could put in a 7k or 4age. Read through engine conversion forums, i'm sure that will help. Post some pics up of your car! gl Quote
FatTony Posted January 23, 2007 Report Posted January 23, 2007 If your looking for power, i wouldn't waste money on a 4age engine conversion, as light as a corolla is 86kw aint ever going to make it that fast, and well can't seem to come across any small ports 4ag's and as for 20v your left with having a car that wont pass epa/engineering as 2 options are given to you due to the fact that the dizzy is on the back of the motor, aftermarket ecu with coil packs or modify the firewall, either of which aint gonna work in your case for it to be legal. Or you can mount the motor further foward and sacrifice handling. But that said a 4ag big port 86 is the cheapest of decent performance engine conversions, still going to be $$$ if you don't do the work yourself. Quote
Lukey Posted January 24, 2007 Report Posted January 24, 2007 put a 308 in her then she will go fast........might be a little on the costly side thoe lol :) Quote

To stop firewall damage get a CAS from a 4agze and stick that where the dizzy is on a 20v and use the 4agze coil packs. You also can fit the dizzy in if you do it right with firewall hackage.
