Redwarf Posted January 22, 2007 Report Posted January 22, 2007 (edited) *sucks air through teeth* Sorry, doesn't do it for me. Radically different from the old one though. Does it send you into another time zone at 88mph? :) Edited January 22, 2007 by Redwarf Quote
irokin Posted January 22, 2007 Report Posted January 22, 2007 What ever happened to tweaking the styling and adding a bit more power/removing weight? Why do we need these monstrosity's getting around... Mazda seems to be the last mass manufacturer doing it (MX5) and going by the number of them getting around already Id say they're on a winner! irokin Posted January 22, 2007 Report Posted January 22, 2007 The car was designed by an American team in California... Say no more! Bloody americans.... Quote
7shades Posted January 23, 2007 Report Posted January 23, 2007 On the subject of pig-ugly concept cars from japanese companies but designed by talentless yanks, behold Toyota's latest offering. 2007 Toyota FT-HS click it. you won't.... Front engined RWD 3.5 Litre V6. Sounds good so far right? but wait for it... HYBRID. Supposedly puts out just under 300kw. But don't get too excited just yet about there finally being some sort of driftable succesor to the AE86... as its a hybrid, it will most likely be auto-only and have so many electronic driver assistance bulltwangers that you won't even be able to chirp it into second gear let alone fang it round corners at sphincter-puckering degrees of opposite lock. Oh and doesn't it have more than a co-incedental similarity to the new GTR... *sigh* If anyone happens to bump into the CEO of Toyota, could they pass on this quick message for me? Dear sir. Could you please build several thousand of the following vehicle: Light (less than 1000kg) RWD 2 litre N/A vvt 2 doors. No bells, no whistles, no bullshit, just a cheap, rear wheel drive hatch/coupe. yours sincerely, the downright f@$king frustrated consumer. Quote
Raven Posted January 23, 2007 Report Posted January 23, 2007 I was reading an article about this last night. It is highly possible that it will be the next Supra but it isnt comfirmed and dare I say that IF it was to be the next Supra, I'd be pretty certain they wouldn't leave it as a hybrid. Being a Supra was pretty much Toyota's road-going Supercar when released, I don't think they'd take the risk by marketing it as a hybrid. Quote
pozman Posted January 23, 2007 Report Posted January 23, 2007 3.5 twin turbo v6 is much more apealing. i don't like the front bar on it tho, looks like they've got 16 triangle pieces of paper, randomly stuck them on a page and gone, presto, thats what the front will look like Quote
Rolla__Boy Posted January 23, 2007 Report Posted January 23, 2007 I actually like it, it's a mean looking car Quote
Des Posted January 23, 2007 Report Posted January 23, 2007 The rims look awesome but that black patch on the bonnet doesnt suit it. Quote
7shades Posted January 23, 2007 Report Posted January 23, 2007 Kinda reminds me of an imperial stormtrooper.... Quote
nickyboy Posted January 23, 2007 Report Posted January 23, 2007 Kinda reminds me of an imperial stormtrooper.... haha the nsx is groosssss ugly concept/cars... NISSAN R36 what the hell did they do to it, i stopped liking the skyline at the R32, after that they got all bulky no more slim lines and sleek bodies like the 32, or even the totally sweet 31 :) Quote
Jason Posted January 23, 2007 Report Posted January 23, 2007 (edited) all they need to do is make a more aggresive front bar and it would be sweet. Otherwise its awsome, I'm diggin the new car looks although that nsx looks wrong Edited January 23, 2007 by Jason Quote
