Des Posted January 26, 2007 Report Posted January 26, 2007 haha they're not even close to fitting dude Its the new in thing, Not buying rims that fit your car its making your car fit your rims.:D Quote
anastasios Posted January 26, 2007 Report Posted January 26, 2007 hehe thats exactly right nothing like a good old hammer to make your wheels fit, ke55 and earlier have heaps of lock and i don't want to lose any of that, its ok though they wont be sitting like that much longer...I'm goin to put sigma gh lcas so that should give me more track and also pull the top of the tyre into the guard some more Quote
Redwarf Posted January 26, 2007 Report Posted January 26, 2007 If you put Sigma LCA's in, the bottom is therefore lengthened. As the upper pivot point is the top strut mount, the top of the wheel will actually be further out. I know from experience. :D Quote
anastasios Posted January 26, 2007 Report Posted January 26, 2007 ah yes true although I'm also changing the strut length to an 86 strut thats been cut down to suit tokicos and running rcas which will mean that that side of the suspension triangle is raised pushing it inwards...if u get me lol yea I'm not really counting on it being pullled in by camber thats why i have some bolt on flares lined up for the front :D Quote
4agzerola Posted October 14, 2008 Report Posted October 14, 2008 Hey People! I have a set of Super Lights for my Escort would they fit on my KE70? both 4 stud just don't know the exact specs. Couldn't be bothered jacking up both cars to see if they fits or not. Hoping some on here would know if they are the same stud pattern or not? Quote
styler Posted October 14, 2008 Report Posted October 14, 2008 escort = 108x4pcd ke70 = 114.3x4pcd If you put Sigma LCA's in, the bottom is therefore lengthened. As the upper pivot point is the top strut mount, the top of the wheel will actually be further out. I know from experience. haha too true :D a lot of people think ill get some longer lca's and the neg camber will tilt the wheel under the guard only to find after all the work of fitting them that the top sticks out more?????!!!! its amusing to see the cry of disbelief and the mad scuffle to find an old geometry set to prove the wheel is somehow wrong, that some black magic crept in to the garage and secretly destroyed the hope of ever being a legal takumi drifter with 165's on a 9 inch rim and 10 deg neg camber, all under the guard of course :) Quote
TE278U Posted October 15, 2008 Report Posted October 15, 2008 Hey People! Couldn't be bothered (insert own comment) Hoping some on here would know ? this seems to be a problem on here with some new members. it's very nice that there are people that go to the effort of posting up a reply considering the original poster couldn't be bothered searching a forum... have a think about it before posting up a question that you could probably find the answer for yourself... oh, and nice thread hijack by the way... *end rant* -dave Quote
