Mr Hardware Posted January 29, 2007 Report Posted January 29, 2007 the corolla nameplate isn't dying, is it? Quote
JiP Posted January 29, 2007 Report Posted January 29, 2007 Sadly it looks like it is. I say bring back cars like Crowns, Cressida, Celica... the list goes on... Quote
Rolla__Boy Posted January 29, 2007 Report Posted January 29, 2007 I say stop living in the past, and welcome the future Quote
Jono Posted January 29, 2007 Report Posted January 29, 2007 And whilst on that subject. Whats with the local release ZZ Corollas (ie current shape), getting a luxury pack and being called Levins!! Whoever decided that would be a good idea needs to be slapped!! If anything, the "Sportivo" Corollas should have been called Levins. Levin Corollas were the 'top-of-the-heap' performance version in Japan... Not some poofed-up hairdresser's car with extra-cushy seats, crappy alloy wheels and colour coded bumpers!!! 'Levin' should= Pumped guards, forced induction, factory extractors/sports system, wider wheels, bigger brakes... Hot hatch!! yeah, couldn't agree more, the Sportivo name just sounds weak: Sport Evo as in e30 M3 or 190e cosworth sounded cool but just doesn't suit toyotas with its gay spelling. which is sad because the latest sportivo would be a good car with its megapotent 1.8, but its badges just don't sell it. Levin was heaps better. Off topic, what other cars used race track names? I can think of the Mazda Rx7 bathurst and maybe the Skyline N1 but what others are there? Quote
st.nick Posted January 31, 2007 Report Posted January 31, 2007 Some E34 BMWs (like mine) came optioned with a Nurburgring suspension pack. Stiffer, lower, and actually designed on, and tuned for the Nurburgring!! Quote
