flat out Posted January 10, 2007 Report Posted January 10, 2007 hi all, i have brought a 32 36 weber that i was told was off a falcon, autho don't think falcons had 32 36's it has 160 and 165 jets up the top and 140 and 145 down in the fuel bowl, can some one tell me if i need to change these jets so as it will run well on my 4k whitch is all stock apart from extractors thanks casey Quote
MRMOPARMAN Posted January 10, 2007 Report Posted January 10, 2007 not sure on jet sizes, as i havent played around with one (yet), but they are off a 2l escort/cortina or maybe a fiat. Quote
Smithius Posted January 10, 2007 Report Posted January 10, 2007 the jets that you have in the carby should be ok. i have a stock 4k with extractors and a full 2 inch exhast and the jets i run are... 3.5 venturi in primary 4.0 in secondary 160 air correction jet in primary (the top ones) 170 in secondary 140 in bothe the main jets i can't remeber what idle jets I'm running but i know that i went through heaps to get it right. the bigger the air corrector jets that you go in the secondarys the more of a flat spot then a kick you will get when you get the secondarys opening up. i ran 160 air correctors in both with 140 primary and a 135 secodary main jets for a while which was very smooth power but wouldnt rev. i also use f66 emulsion tubes in both. i found that the f50 and f60 are to hard to tune and you need to be spot on with the jet sizes. what you have in the carby now is allready bigger than a stock 2l cortina has. hope that helps you out.
