81' Ke55 Rolla

Hey guys,

 

Had this car for nearly 2 years now, and finally gotten around to finally doing some work to it, plans are to get it on the road and use it as a daily while i work on my red KE30..

 

It currently needs the following for rego..

-Front Windscreen (got one, need to put in)

-Diff, old one was whining, (put a banjo in there)

-Rust around the wheel arches, (all fibreglassed up and resprayed)

-General clean up..

 

Plans are..

-Lower it

-2" exhaust

-Venetians :D

-Spray the rims black, and keep the chrome dress ring.. :)

 

When I got the car the first thing i did was replace the square headlights with round ones, ( there is a thread already made about that)..

And gave it a oil change and major service..

Then on the weekend i decided to replace the shagged diff with a banjo, was quite easier than i thought, with no previous diff experience i was pretty pleased with myself :)..

 

 

New banjo in and painted!

 

Yes I do realise I lost the rear swaybar :D.. All that's left to do is put the handbrake cables in and bleed the brakes.. :D

Also I'm chasing a early rear KE55 bumper bar so let me know if you have one!..

That's about it for now, ill keep you updated!

Bit of a late update, It's nearly KE30 spec lol

 

It passed blue slip last week with only Front uni being the fault, bought a new one the same day and put it in at work! :cool:

 

Also got some venetians, new complete exhaust system, and some KE30 bumper bars for it, i have had quite alot of comments about the car and how well she looked! :)

 

Also got some personalised plates for it coming next week OKE-550!

Well Guys been quite awhile since i last posted about my old girl, pretty big update.

 

-Got it registered with my Custom plates

-White Venetians! :evil:

-Extractors 2" Zorst

-Early 3K carby, took all pollution shit off:)

-Ramflo Air Filter

-Lowered 2" (King Spring Front, Reset 2" Leafs Back) Nolathane Bushes throughout.

-2007 Pioneer Headunit with 2007 Pioneer 5 way 6x9's.

Test Fitting a Few weeks ago lol. Nah its not going on this one i was just checking clearances etc. its going on my red KE30 that I'm rebuilding ground up, with a very unique 3K which I'm keeping under wraps. :(

Is that steering wheel of an RA40 Celica . . reminds me of my mates steering wheel :( Its funny because he keeps pressing the horn button by accident when cornering :evil:

 

And one tip . . . you can change the quartz clock for an rpm tacho really easy and it looks quite factory :sob:
