breno Posted January 3, 2007 Report Posted January 3, 2007 (edited) If anyone tells me to search ive searched and found nothing, So this has been bugging my for ages now, my rear suspension sits around 1 -2cm higher on the left hand side at the rear, i have checked all my trailing arms and they are all perfectly straight, i have a stock panhard rod although that doesnt make a differnce to the height. I have had around 3-4 differnt rear end set ups, with everyone it has always sat higher on the left hand side, my current set up is kyb excel g short strokes and 6.5kg springs. Ive also heard of a few other Ke's not just 70's doing this aswell, happend to anyone here? Here are 2 pictures for a reference, sorry they are the best i have. Edited January 3, 2007 by breno Quote
NickZ Posted January 3, 2007 Report Posted January 3, 2007 Yep my ke30 v6 rolla does too, I thought it was the drivers side saging a little more because there is always the drivers weight, but if your saying you have new springs then i have no idea. Quote
Trev Posted January 3, 2007 Report Posted January 3, 2007 Is this possible due to the K motor's leaning towards the driver side, And i don't mean to make you feel stupid but have you put the car on a dead flat hard surface like concrete? Quote
breno Posted January 3, 2007 Author Report Posted January 3, 2007 Yeah, on every surface its the same, even when i was driving a friends car and he was driving mine u can tell from behind that it sits higher on the left hand side. Quote
thomo Posted January 3, 2007 Report Posted January 3, 2007 the panard rod can make the LH side rear sit higher, because its mounted to the body and the diff on fixed points when you lower the car it tries to push the diff out to the left, because the diff can only go so far sideways it will jack up a little very common in VB to VK comodores but with those big slushy bushes they have you usualy get the tyre to rub on the guard LHS before they jack up, adjustable panard rods fix the comodores, no idea about yours, havent tried NickZ, your is probably a saged spring, no panard rods there!
