sleepercorty Posted February 4, 2007 Report Posted February 4, 2007 any plans to go back to the drags soon, and have u had it tuned any dyno figures?. just curious as my car is only std computer, std turbo, 10psi due to std dump pipe, small cooler and small exhaust, so i doubt it even makes 160 rwhp. I'm going to buy a dump pipe so i can run 14psi and go back. ive already run 13.8 at 101mph on 185's with wheel spin all the way through 2nd gear, so I'm hoping with some decent tires and 14psi i can go closer to a 13.0. do you have heaps of trouble with wheelspin? ke30det Posted February 4, 2007 Author Report Posted February 4, 2007 Hey mate, Yes I am planning on heading back out to Willowbank within the next couple of weeks. On the weekend I put a bigger turbo on the car t3/t4 (600hp) with an external wastegate. Injectors and fuel pump may need to be upgraded I have some 600cc ones if needed. This will need to be retuned. Hopefully I will get time to do that by the end of next week. Currently, the car does not get too much wheel spin on the 195's with a good burn out to warm up the tyres. However the tyres are quite soft. I would be interested in catching up with any one with turbo rollas at Willowbank. I will let you know next time I will be heading out. I will get some pics up of the new turbo, wastegate and dump pipe installationwhen i get some time. Quote
ke30det Posted February 12, 2007 Author Report Posted February 12, 2007 Here are some pics of the new T3/T4 with external gate and custom dump pipe. I will post up the figures. Shanon Quote
TheNOBBLER[RL] Posted February 13, 2007 Report Posted February 13, 2007 Hey there, nice ride man... very nice indeed! Just a question, wh the pintara box? Is it stronger? Forgive me if this is a stupid question, I'm not so up to date with the Nissan gear! Quote
Des Posted February 13, 2007 Report Posted February 13, 2007 Really hope to see this at willowbank man ;) Quote
ke30det Posted February 13, 2007 Author Report Posted February 13, 2007 As far as I am aware the CA18 and CA20 gear boxes are the same. The CA20 boxes are a bit cheaper and are more readily available as they came out of an Aust sold car. Hopefully will get out to willowbank on the 24th of feb weather and car permitting/. Quote
ca18rolla Posted February 14, 2007 Report Posted February 14, 2007 sweet 24th of feb at willowbank will be sweet for me too! As long as i get my diff and xr8 brakes by this weekend i ll come out and race with you what stud patten you running if its ford i might have a spare pair of slicks you can have a run on. Anyway be good to see to ca18 rollas ripping it up TO sleepercorty: My mates 1200 makes 212rwhp with 100% stocko motor with a t28 on it and 500x300 fmic and stock ecu. Hope that helps Quote
ke30det Posted February 18, 2007 Author Report Posted February 18, 2007 Had the corolla tuned on Friday at Mazfix. It is currently putting out 260hp at the wheels. A little less than expected but still a good result. The Turbo Smart Tee piece is leaking off boost in the lower gears and is only running on about 11 PSI. Once the boost leak gets fixed it should get a couple more HP. Still on track for going out to Willowbank T&T on Sat 24/2/07. Thanks for the offer for the slicks ("ca18rolla") but this time will run on street tyres. I need to make up some tramp rods and won't get a chance before Sat night. The car has Nissan 4 stud wheels on it atm 4X114.3. Hope to see you there!! Quote
Trev Posted February 18, 2007 Report Posted February 18, 2007 The Test 'N' Tune we are going to is on the 3rd of march, What is this about the 24th of feb? Quote

ke30det Posted April 2, 2007 Author Report Posted April 2, 2007 Is any one else heading out to BC drag day at Willowbank April 15? Should be a good day. Fitting an EBC this week so should control boost better and improve power and response. Quote
sleepercorty Posted April 7, 2007 Report Posted April 7, 2007 yeh i will be at boost cruising day to watch only though. hope to c some corollas there Quote
ZEROSKULL Posted April 11, 2007 Report Posted April 11, 2007 Rolled the front guards a bit, and used spacers. The tyres are 215/40's and they don't scrub at all :kiwi: I was selling them but no one seems interested, so I guess I will just keep them I'm about to get 17 inch for my ke30 once its finished the restoration, do you mean roll the mud guard? I did roll the rear mud guard tho. Quote
Rolla__Boy Posted April 12, 2007 Report Posted April 12, 2007 I said I rolled the front guards, if you have already rolled the rear guards, then it shouldn't be too difficult to do the fronts. Just do what you did with the rear. If this doesn't answer your question, then I don't know what u mean Quote
