Corolla_Kid Posted January 4, 2007 Report Posted January 4, 2007 Hey mate. I saw this out at willowbank the other week. Definently a sleeper. :D Quote

ke30det Posted January 7, 2007 Author Report Posted January 7, 2007 thanks for the feedback guys. Yes it does drive and stop very well. Next plans are new paint and maybe some new wheels. Quote
ke30det Posted January 15, 2007 Author Report Posted January 15, 2007 Took it out to Willowbank on Saturday night it ran a 13.4 at 104mph. Not fast enough yet!!! Its time for some more power to get it into 12's. Quote
Taz_Rx Posted January 15, 2007 Report Posted January 15, 2007 theres a post in automotive discussion with a list of 1/4 mile times for corollas, cross breeds etc. tell the guy who started the thread your times and he'll put you on the list. low 13's is nothing to sneeze at!!!! :) was that just with your usual road going tyres?? how was the traction situation?? Maybe try and get hold of some slicks and if you havn't used them already, since your rear end setup seems like it'll handle the power!! Quote
ke30det Posted January 15, 2007 Author Report Posted January 15, 2007 Yes that time was on std street tyres 195x55x 15inch. I do have some MT Slicks to put on it but need to make some tramp rods first. The car did launch pretty good with minimal wheel spin at this stage. However, when the new turbo goes on traction may be a problem. Quote
Rolla__Boy Posted January 15, 2007 Report Posted January 15, 2007 I like this car alot. It's nice and neat, without going over board. Big thumbs up from me :) Quote
ke30det Posted January 23, 2007 Author Report Posted January 23, 2007 Thanks mate!!! I like 17's on your rolla. Did you have to modify anything to get them on?? Quote
Rolla__Boy Posted January 23, 2007 Report Posted January 23, 2007 Rolled the front guards a bit, and used spacers. The tyres are 215/40's and they don't scrub at all :) I was selling them but no one seems interested, so I guess I will just keep them Quote
sleepercorty Posted January 24, 2007 Report Posted January 24, 2007 i like it alot nearly a twin of my one, i saw it for sale not that long ago and was so tempted to buy another. I'm taking mine to drags this weekend if its not raining hoping to run closer to the 13.5 mark with std turbo and computer. yours should see some easy 12's with the mods you have, maybe you should make another trip this weekend to better the time. ca18rolla Posted January 31, 2007 Report Posted January 31, 2007 NIce ride brother good to see some more CA18 rollas (i hear NICK really likes them). I ran 13.2 (205rwhp) with a slow 2.6 60ft and a slippin clutch but just joined the 300hp club with mine yesterday on 14.5 pound so i ll be out in a few weeks again when the hilux diff is in. Come racing april 15 $85 all day probably get 20+ runs in! nice work again mate Quote
