Yeah mate still a stock K diff with a peg leg, which is half the reason I couldn't get traction. I don't want to weld this diff as I'll most likely just snap axles. Rather just get my T series in it and an LSD.

 

When its the only car around (at home) its seems loud. But then when you get it out there it then seems like one of the quietest cars out there.... apart from the gilmer drive. In the second vid you can't hear it over the 18 second honda!!! :bash:

I wish i could have been there. Although I'm not too sure how quick my car would get down the quarter, don't want to embarrass myself. Haha.

wow man, just read through the whole thing, now i think i will go for a well built 5ke rather than a 4age cause i never wanted to put a 4age in a ke55 or ke70. just could not work out how i would EFI a k series motor but now i know. keep up the awsome work mate.

haha You made my day to see i've convinced another rolla fan to NOT to use a 4age!!! :hmm:

I've got nothing against 4ages, its just that 60-70% of RWD corolla seem to get them as a conversion. I just like being different. :yes:

Thats why i went with the 2T. To be different. Still sounds like a K series in my opinion. Just like the 4Ks older brother :blinks:

Small update:

 

I've had some Pedders Gas shocks laying around for about 18 months now with the intention of putting them in Dirt (as I'd like som koni's for Tar), but now that I've basically decided to "wreck" Dirt there's no point..... so I put them in Tar on the weekend.... well tried to anyway. :D When I bought the shocks I didn't realise that I should have got the propper pedders gland nuts for them as you can't use the wet legs ones. Managed to sort that issue and got the propper ones. Big thanks to Mark (ke20rolla) at pedders for sorting this for me.

 

So now they're in I took it for a drive last night and :abuse: .....I had no idea just how rooted my wet legs were!!! :P

Its soooo much smoother in the front end now. Handles even more like a gokart too. I think the only reason it handled as well as it did before was the advans.

been following this thread and it is mental the engine bay just looks like pure sex

 

and i bow down to you for not goin the way of every man and his dog with a 4age, not sayin their all shit coz hell theres some sick ones out there

 

reading this has really got me considering doing a boosted, K may i ask why a 5k, instead of the bigger 7k coz i was thinkin using a 7k but to save hastles in the long run would a 5k be better etc?

 

and is that a k series specific gilmer set or like a mazdabater set modified?
