Mounting Stuff On Firewall?

Is there any problem like leagalities about mounting stuff on the fire wall. I want to mount my coil packs on the top bit of the fire wall and need to drill 4 little holes?

Well I'm cutting up mine for the clutch slave and heaps of people on ae86dc have mounted coil packs to the firewall to street drivin cars so i guess if you make it look nice and clean no one will take a 2nd look into it.

i can only assume there self holding nuts / self tapping bolts kinda of thing to pull it off easy. But don't worry i did it a cleaver way :)

Nut-serts are a threaded barrel that are squeezed into place like a pop rivet.

 

Nut-serts rock. I rate them even higher than cable ties!

Yeah, but if your not stupid with what you are doing, and be careful not to damage the plate or holes, you can get away with it :)

lol just need sum dirty old wetherd pop rivets and that will do the job.

would look a bit sus with sum nice brand new pop rivets.

I just find the pop rivits weird. Insted of having a hole in the center of them they come to a sharp point.
