haha help us get here together and ill take it to the next drag meet, got our 3rd noise complaint today and they noted that ANZAC day was bad, haha loud cars, loud music and quiet van burnouts, were getting f@$king bad,

 

oh and they offered to get there solicitor onto us

Thats why it handy to live in an area that classed as "industrial". That back street is residential, but wellington st in industrial.

This means we can make noise till midnight whenever we want and the neighbours can lick our balls!!! :S

 

FYI, drags are over for the year, will have to wait for a test and tune (which are better for getting more runs anyway) in August or September.

ok small update, put my old alternator off the 4k on the motor with a custom non adjustable yet, alloy tensioner.

but now i have an earthing issue or some thing and i have f@$k all power, some times when i flick the iso switch on i get a flicker of light from the cd player but not enough to make it stay on, not a huge problem because simon is coming over with his ke55 and ill coppie what was done stock and hopfully get the battery charging,

 

today i got new leads, rotor button, distributer cap and condensor, iv also changed back to the stock coil with a very cool can cover (will have to wait and see it)

 

so once thats done i need to get my ass into gear and finish the fuel system

finish the guards,

paint the guards,

paint front apron

repair and paint rear end and bootlid

finish exhaust,

dyno!

I'll pop up some time this week and have a look, sorry I didn't reply to sms.

 

With the alternator - The ke55 ones have a 2 wire plug, and also a ring terminal that goes onto a little post that sticks out the back of the alternator. Did you hook this up? Or did you accidentally earth it when/if you did?

 

Oh, and let me guess,........you put a Pride can over the coil!? :(

got it going with the new parts tonight, runs so f@$king smooth now its constantly fining on all cylinders.

leigh came up when i got it going and he was pretty impressed.

 

bovs real early whitch means theres boost,

think i might tilt tray it out to work on Saturday and give it a good tune
