Hey peeps

Picked up some really cool wheels with a very unfortunate offset and I'm having clearance problems. I've machined up some spacers with the proper spigot diameters so I won't be putting extra stress on the studs but I'd prefer to have a bit more thread to play with....

All toyota studs are the same in every regard bar length so I'm wondering if one has experience or info on some longer ones.

Cheers

I needed longer studs for my mazda for the rims i bought for it and i just took a few of the original studs to auto 1 and they gave me ones with the same thread and width but longer and they worked a treat....

Won't work.

Get longer studs. I was speaking to Geoff about this a while back on MSN, he ran longer studs and cost him $14 per corner.

He never had an issue with it, apparently

yeah... using barrel nuts would mean I'd have to drill out the lug holes on the wheels... and me and 'ol mr. ryobi aren't that accurate.

Looks like a trip to toyota to rifle through the parts bins. I was trying to avoid that scenario, I used work in spare parts and the interpereters get really flustered and turn funny colours when you confront them with something they can't instantly look up on disc or microfiche :jamie:
