johnycaps Posted November 22, 2006 Report Posted November 22, 2006 hey all i have a ke55 it wouldnt start so my mechanic checked it all out and ended up replacing the regulator on the altenator, and i forgot how it goes back into the car. theres a wire coming from the positive terminal thats loose and was on it also a female socket that connects to the back of it also when i hook it all up it tries to start once, then stops and clicks then u got to try and start it again and nuthing at alll happens i checked the fuse box in the car and they are all normal? any suggestions help on how to put it back together on the car pictures would be great thanks guys Quote

johnycaps Posted November 22, 2006 Author Report Posted November 22, 2006 i try to jump start the car and it doesnt do nuttin just tries to start once then stops and clicks then if u go to do it again, then it dosent do nuttin i think its the connecting up i need to no how to put it back Quote
ke30corolla.coupe Posted November 22, 2006 Report Posted November 22, 2006 mine only has two wires one with a rond lug on it that goes to the post with the nut on it and a plug with a couple of wires on it that just plugs in to the alternator so simple that i doubt you would be able to get it wrong hope this helps. ke30corolla.coupe Posted November 22, 2006 Report Posted November 22, 2006 sorry can't put pic up of it wired up as mines currently not in due to being half way through an engine and gearbox conversion, you just slip the round lug onto the threaded post and tighten the nut and washer onto it then bobs your uncle it will be fixed Quote
ke30corolla.coupe Posted November 22, 2006 Report Posted November 22, 2006 i decided to take a couple of pics for you to try and help as you can see there is only two wires the plug only fits in one place and the lug goes to the post right beside the plug sometimes theres a little cylinder thing thats screwed to the back of the alternator that also goes to the threaded post cheers,john Quote
