JiP Posted November 13, 2006 Report Posted November 13, 2006 lOl, check out this one!! http://cgi.ebay.com.au/TOYOTA-COROLLA-1980...1QQcmdZViewItem "Tell Him He's Dreaming" Quote
Hiro Protagonist Posted November 13, 2006 Report Posted November 13, 2006 lOl, check out this one!! http://cgi.ebay.com.au/TOYOTA-COROLLA-1980...1QQcmdZViewItem "Tell Him He's Dreaming" I don't see whats unreasonable about 2 grand for the wagon, it's got a full 12 months rego (& CTP), which in total is worth about $700. New tyres, which is another couple of hundred, in good nick, straight, and what appears to be a 5K in it. Quote
7shades Posted November 13, 2006 Report Posted November 13, 2006 Thats pristine.... grandma would've taken a lot of convincing to trade that one in.... Quote
Corolla Test Pilot Posted November 14, 2006 Report Posted November 14, 2006 Mmmm...minty fresh wagon... Quote
Dan Posted November 14, 2006 Report Posted November 14, 2006 The plate says its a KE55?? Its a KE38 mate Quote
Trev Posted November 14, 2006 Report Posted November 14, 2006 (edited) Who ever stamped the plate had it all wrong then :hmm: Found a pic of KE50's old KE50: KE50's Homepage Edited November 14, 2006 by Trev Quote
KJ's Rollas Posted November 14, 2006 Report Posted November 14, 2006 Ok, to clarify all of that.. the Blue liftback on E-bay is a KE50 shape, but it's technically the update version of the KE50, so they called it a KE55R. It's practically the same as a KE50 other than the fact that the KE55R Liftback update (the blue one on E-bay) has a rear windscreen wiper (very handy), a different grille on the front, and a trip meter on the dash. Everything else is identical to the KE50, so when looking at it, yes some of you are correct in saying it is a KE50 shape, but it's technically a KE55R model (1979 make) and a genuine import yes, and a rare car indeed! Pity this one on E-bay has rust, but the panels all look straight and it would be worth it just for the factory 5 speed which will fit any 70's KEXX corolla and the factory tacho dash also! Cheers KJ :hmm: Quote
Dan Posted November 14, 2006 Report Posted November 14, 2006 Sorry, I'd presumed that he was talking about the minter wagon. And if the compliance plate was off the wagon - then stay the f@$k away from it, its been rebirthed. Dan Quote
KJ's Rollas Posted November 14, 2006 Report Posted November 14, 2006 Ahh no, the compliance plate was off the Blue Liftback - as you would see in the E-bay item description if you have a look! Cheers KJ :hmm: Quote
