anyway, called the john today, and prices have gone up, there now around the $450 mark, but the machining and hardening processes have improved, so they can handle more power and work a bit better

 

pity about the price tho, pretty much means it out of my price range

So if you send the diff to the guy in melb do you still have to shave off 3mm on your axles? Also could this possibly slip when you don't want it to for example mid slide? Cheers

Probably... if the inside wheel picks up over a hump it will have less traction and be easier to spin, which will release the locking pressure on the spiders on that side and allow it to spin.

 

But would you notice? It will still be much better than an open diff.

 

"All" we need is someone to machine the top hat in the picture and source or machine the clutch plates so they fit a KE70 BorgWarner. Completely impossible??
