lol i know i might be making a big deal out of it, but i was just extreemly pissed off, because it was extreemly inconvenient that he failed me, which i thought that there was a possibility that i would fail, but more to the point is that i failed because of some stupid reason.

*edit* if that actually makes any sence *edit*

I think you should be glad that getting a drivers licence is easy. I'm currently doing my pilots licence. Waited 10 weeks for my student licence (allows me to fly by myself with restrictions) and security clearance to be approved by Canberra. Currently 15 weeks and counting (and about $400 in medical reports out of my pocket) for my medical approval. And this even before Ive done any flying tests. Ive got my dual hours required to get my basic licence but because I still havent got my medical don't have my solo hours.

...Maybe if drivers licences were that hard to get we'd have less shit drivers on our roads.

what if you weren't allowed to get your pilots licence because you were wearing the wrong shoes on the day of your assessment? and you failed, all the hard work you put in for learning for this, all the money you spent on trying to achieve this was mauled because you were wearing the wrong type of shoes? (hypothetically)

wouldnt this cause you to be the slightest bit mad? if you were not informed of this beforehand and apparantly it is a law.

anywhoo i am going for my test again tomorrow, so hopefully i will pass.

good luck with your pilots licence.

Not really. If you want something bad enough you're going to keep working at it until you get it. Id just take it as a lesson learnt and hope that this failed test has prepared me better for the next one. Bitching about it wouldnt get me anywhere. Ignorance of the law is no excuse either.

A license is a privilege not a right. So it inconvenienced you. As irokin said, if this is the worst thing that ever happens to you, your going for a charmed life.

Have you considered that he may not have been happy with the whole package of your driving?

Look forward, get it the next time.

We can even start a brick collection for your bridge if you like. :D

I'm sorry guys but you're giving shit undeservedly (if that is a word!)

I believe it is a privelidge to have a licence HOWEVER why should you cop crap because some other dickhead is tailgating you. If you tap the brakes to let him know you're slowing down and pulling over and he hits you because he wasn't paying attention, he's liable and you've been in an accident. If you tap the breaks, it usually just pisses them off more. If you pull over, then you have to wait for the next break in traffic, whose inconvenienced? The person being tailgated!

Now how many times have you been stuck behind an oldie who's doing 40 in a 60 zone, and be pissed off by them?? Have you tailgated them and thus broken the law?

If the instructor wasn't happy with the whole package then surely he should have made it clear what he wasn't happy with instead of basing it on one rather dubious reason.

If someone is tailgating you, THEY are at fault, if you are tailgating someone, YOU are at fault.

AND FURTHERMORE, you were driving in a vehicle which I assume was quite clearly marked as a learner driven vehicle and the tailgater apart from being a complete dickhead was inconsiderate AND breaking the LAW.

SO WHY should Chet be held responsible????

Why is everyone so uppity. Shit happens, move on, get over it, build a bridge!! Dwelling on minor bumps in your life isnt doing anyone any favors. (Broken record?)

People DIE on the roads because of other peoples stupidity. GOOD NEWS!! CHETS NOT DEAD!!

Uppity? I wasn't uppity, I was sharing my opinion, just as you did yours irokin, if you feel passionately about something why shouldn't you voice it? Your points are all valid, but when you get penalised for something that really isn't your fault, it's not FAIR. Yes bad/unfair/unfortunate things happen in one's life and in the overall scheme of things, perhaps they're not THAT bad but it makes you feel better to vent, share and guage other's opinions, to gain advice, or just to get validation that you're in the right. If something upsets me, I share it with friends or people on sites like this one. One to vent, and two to see whether I'm over-reacting.

Everyone's entitled to their opinion, and I respect your's, I don't agree with it, but I still respect it.
