teza40 Posted October 16, 2006 Report Posted October 16, 2006 (edited) HEY Rolla club members, if ever you are stuck for lenses,tail light indicator etc. there`s a bloke at carrara in the gold coast queensland by the name of Dale Mc shane he runs classic plastic and makes reproduction lenses from good original ones (makes a mould and pours like new with good colour in the plastic). around 7 yrs ago i use to sell chrysler repro lenses made by him.he does a lot of hot trod stuff and usually advertises in the cruising magazine etc. hope this helps people out cheers Teza Edited October 16, 2006 by teza40 Quote

10ROLLA Posted October 17, 2006 Author Report Posted October 17, 2006 tenyeargarantee, i got the lights off the guy i bought it off, donno how he got his hands on em i think through toyota but he said was the last ones made by toyota so i thought i would have a brag! and about the hilux diff i must have to agree! the hilux diff was just an idea! my new idea is to fit an old skyline diff in! that wouldnt way it down to bad don't think! anyway on the weekend i pulled everything off the front, like the guards, front bumber and things like that, i wire brushed the the inner guards (think thats what they r called) and painted em black! this avo i measured up new door trims and parcel shelf to be cut out tomoro arvo! when i do the interior (which will be soon hopefully) i will carpet and vynl it all make it look overrated anyway here is a pictures update! thanks for all the comments, Myles! 10ROLLA Posted October 18, 2006 Author Report Posted October 18, 2006 um the things in the last pic are the inner guards I'm talkin about the bits that are bolted on just infront of ya door in ya guards! stops the water and dirt and stuff go into the door hinge! anyway this arvo i cut out one door trim and parcel shelf out of mdf, the parcel shelf fits "like a Glove" and the door trim bit is yet to be completed havent coverd them yet as i said will be a lil while befor i do! still undisided on what colour should do any suggestions? thats all for today havent got pics as of yet will have by end of week! Thanks Myles! P.S. my girlfriend wants me to tell u on the picture where the wheel and strut and stuff are! she was the one who scrapt off all the old tar that was flakin off! Quote

10ROLLA Posted November 15, 2006 Author Report Posted November 15, 2006 ok, i no i havent updated in a long time! but havent had much to show as i have just been cuttin mdf for the doors, boot and parcel shelf! and have just been sanding surface rust! but today i pulled out the motor! so now my rolla has no heart :hmm: . now I'm goin to be sprayin the engine bay and puttin the new 4k in which has syncro! hahaha yes!!! the rolla sits much higher in the front now with no heart even tho the 4k was so light! me and my brother should be retrimming the interior some time between now and the end of the xmas holidays and about the rust, our mate that is gonna do it got held up doin a datsun 1600 but should come to cut out the rust soon! here are some pics! sorry i havent got much but like i said most my work has been on the interior pieces! cheers Myles! ROLLA's Posted December 27, 2006 Report Posted December 27, 2006 hey every1, sorry about the new account i was on holidays for a while and didnt come on this site so it stopped signing me in automaticly and i forgot my password and everything and it wont send me the email to change it! it says it has but it wont so this is my new acount sorry! anyway onto the ke10....... nothin more has been done to it other the surface rust and the mdf cut outs for the interior! I'm still waitin on a mate to cut the rust out! and i havent begain on the interior just yet! my brother who is gonna help me tells me we will do it soon but who knows. but i have some good news! i was given another corolla! a 1980 KE55! it is full of rust and was only used to bush bash! which is my purpis for it aswell as i have 6 and a half aches with less the half doing nothin! it has good parts on it still includin grill and lights and stuff but extior is shockin i think the drivers side door is the only thing that doesnt have rust fallin (literally) off it! the only thing that is wrong with it and the only reason it was given to me was becasue the starter motor doesnt work! so i hav to clutch start it! but it does great donuts! lol when it stops raining here in QLD ill take some pics! if u want any parts off it just let me no cus u can have nething off it cheap! so let me no! will have pics soon take care!
