  5. I had an RX-2 with a race prepared 13b extended bridge port done by Ric Shaw Rotary , had microtech injection , webber style 50mm throttle bodies and 4x 12a turbo injectors , dual 2' pipes back to the diff then 3' pipe with only one muffler ( it idled at at 100 db) when i first got it it was a 12a injected bridgeport and i took it the old eastern creek and on my first run the clutch pressure plate exploded and blew up through the bonnet , my mates who where watching said they saw red hot bits of the clutch blast through the bonnet and up into the air , never saw them land. damage report : shattered bell housing and part of g/box main case part of the rear end plate of engine snapped of ( needed eng rebuild ) chopped my extractors clean through nice whole in bonnet just shaved fuel line :)
  6. hey JC , the 20's looking good man , are you going to get the car engineered ? if you are you should think about talking to an engineer soon , reason i say this is cause i'm doing same conversion at the moment into my 25 and i went to see an engineer and he told me any computer that can be reprogrammed or altered is illegal , just check it out before you layout $1300 on a haltech have you done your tailshaft yet? if yes where did you get it done ? keep up the good work mate , Lindsay
  7. yeah thats correct klusio , i am currently putting a 4AGE into my KE25 and the t50 bolted to the KE25 g/box x-member no worries and bolts up to the chassis rails (with a bit of persuation) and sits the engine and g/box in the eng bay nicely , but the engine mounts are a bit of a bitch to make
  8. Audi RS4 wagon , 380hp 2.7 Ltr v6 twin turbo 4WD ahh shit there go's my clean pants again :D AAAAAAAARRRRRRRRRRGGGGGGGGGGHHHHHHHH!!!! drool
  9. Hi Gem & Cam , i got a old school rolla which is getting a 4age at the moment , just trying to save some funds for the brake upgrade would love to go far a cruise once its done , should be done by end of the year (hopefully) so lets us know when the cruises are on Seeya , Lindsay
  10. i thought they were bolt in aswell , i'll try and find the article on the brake upgrade again and see exactly what car they went on , might have been KE20
  11. hey rke_011 , iam currently putting a 4age in my ke25 and just got the engine mounts done , i started with a rwd 4age that a guy had in an ae71 son it allready had rwd engine mounts with it , i was thinking it might bolt straight in , na they were too wide for the brackets on the x-member , so i used the ae71 rubber mounts and made up some brakets too bolt the engine to the rubber mounts . it's a bit of a bitch to do but here its . get the engine in the engine bay and try to secure it as best possible where you want it sit without it moving much . then i got some 4mm MDF cut out in the shape of the plates that bolt to the engine ( basically tracing out the old engine bracket shape on the mdf and cut them out ) bolt them up to the engine and then cut out a plate to bolt on to the rubber mounts and bolt in place , then used just paper to get the angles for webbing between the two plates you have bolted into place trace them on the MDF and cut them out , double check they are the right angles ( bit of advice measure twice , cut once ) then i used the mdf cut outs as templates on 6mm steel plate (probably a bit of overkill , 4mm should do fine) cut them out with an angle grinder ( you'll need about 5 or 6 cutting discs) and put them in place on the engine and mounts and tac welded them into place , they are now at a metal fab. place getting properly welded and hopefully they should work out ok hope i explained allright , it's hard to put into words any questions mate pm me and i'll try to help Lindsay
  12. hey rxstephen , i've heard you can use sigma control arms and they about the right length for camber , maybe do a search on brake upgrades on "toymods" thats where i think i read it onetime , keep posting updates if you could i'm looking at putting ta22 struts in my KE25 and would mind knowing how you go . are you doing it for a brake upgrade or for better suspension or something like that
  13. thanks fella's , ended up measuring up with some MDF cut into shape for the mounting plates and the webbing and using them as templates on 6mm plate , i have them tack welded into place just got to take them to an engineering shop to get properly welded now , thanks for the advice dudes . JC807 sorry man but i love my rims , the bigger and shinnier the better for me , each to their own i suppose , you won't see her ( my little red one ) for a while it's up on jack stand at my mums place at the moment waiting for a financial injection Biggo , best advice i've heard for a while " measure twice cut once"
  14. i've found it's always better to get a new one or second hand, every time i put a kit through a master cylinder it never lasts that long , and there a pain in the arse to do!
  15. nah hills area sydney ? opps should have put that in
